Hmm..Feels like I haven't blogged in a while.

And yet.I can't think of anything worth typing.

Hmm..

Anyway, I missed the girls' gathering on Monday night, cos my legs couldn't bring me all the way to town.

The nearest it took me was to the bus stop where I got on my direct bus home.Period sucks.

Hmm..
Today's already mid week.
Work's been overwhelmingly busy.
and social comm.
OVERWHELMINGLY busy.

Oh, and everyone at work now thinks I'm some 4D wonder kid.Haha

That time, I asked my sidekick for her extension number.. the number came out 1st prize twice in subsequent weeks.

Both weeks she didn't buy.

And again last week, I casually asked her for her handphone number (cos I lost it)
And no prizes for guessing that it came out in that very day's 4D too.
And alas, for every 3 days of the week that she's been buying.
She missed out that very Wednesday.

Couldn't I say, help myself?

I'd like to buy a new car, thank you very much.

Oh, did I mention I met Ms Tirzah on the way to work one morning?

Only saving grace now is CNY's 18 days away.

Yippee.

Seriously, I prefer CNY eve better than any of the 15 days.

I caught Babel and Happy Birthday (that Louis Koo and Rene Liu flick).
TODAY gave Happy Birthday 3 stars, I'm quite sure the stars were hiding.
Hahha

Oh yes, and there was a few days back when a Taiwanese actress died in a freak accident involving (gulp!) a MINI.

Not that I'm a fan, I hardly seen her shows except for variety tv.
Still, I think it's very sad cos she's so young.

Pretty- hey, that's a given.

And I guess, it's usually not until she is dead that people realises she is multi talented with the piano, harp and all that instruments.

Why didn't anyone say anything about her French major in university when she was still around?

I'm just thinking, we really do take things quite for granted at times.

We all just gotta learn to share a bit of love with the people around before they leave us.

And I was starving the moment I made my way through the gate.

Ally went back to Germany on Monday, and you'll never guess who walked past me.

I really don't know why people find non existant eyes cute.

On the more mundane side.
Been quite busy planning for the division's Espirit De Corp for this year.
Almost feels like I'm back in Events class.
Been lunching in a lot lately, with editorial team meeting today and IPPY during lunch tomorrow.

Only consolation's that weekend beckons.

Ally's flying tomorrow night.
Spent the entire Sunday today shopping with her for stuff to bring back to Germany.
Was 5 hours well spent, since it'll probably be a year till I see her again.
Sad to think about it, but again time seems to fly (lately).
So yeah.
Maybe, in a blink of my fat eyelids, she'll be back to visit with Kenny and Baby in her arms already.
Hmmmm..
Anyways, I managed to get lingerie, shoes and a top.
Not too bad for a Sunday.

Met him for dinner, and suddenly I'm looking forward to CNY again. *grin
Sometimes. he just knows how to work that magic.

With the recent bereavement in my family, even though we are allowed to celebrate CNY as my mum is a daughter to my granddaddy (sons have to grieve for a year), it doesn't feel the same anymore this year.
Cousins wun be out visiting, Ally won't be around.
Maybe we'll out meet at Hongbao River this year, ok?

I'm off to catch some rest.

Stayed out last night, it was sosososo fun.

Caught Metrosexual in the afternoon (cos I'm on leave y'all! haha). It's a thai flick on gays. Nothing too mature a content, but it's seriously damn funny.
And since I haven't caught another Thai movie since The Sisters (Remember Jane?), this is the comic relief I needed.

Went to the UNSWAsia Campus this afternoon, at the old RP Campus.
I'm so tempted to quit and study. Someone give me directions.

Fast forwarding to this evening, We caught Apocalypto at Cine.

I'm torn between asking you guys to catch it, or to avoid it at all cost.
Granted, the storyline, scenes, script is top notch, something I haven't seen since, Blood Diamond??
Haha, Ok. Kidding!
But point is, is there anything more GRUESOME than GRUESOME?
Seriously?
2 mins into the movie, 5 men were already tearing up a dead tapir to savour its FRESH BLOODY heart, liver, ear and balls.
Yes, BALLS.
One of the tribalfolk ate it right there and then!
It's that grosteque until I nearly puked halfway..

Screw you, Mel Gibson.

That's a gory blood decapitation scene every 15 seconds for the entire 2 hours, but it's action filled back-to-back, so one thing's for sure- you'll never fall asleep.
Oh, and Jane. My mistake. It has dialougue. LOADS of it, just none of it in English. Hahaha

So you take your pick.

Ally's going back this Monday or Wednesday, if she can get on the Wednesday flight. She's got her gynae appointment to catch, so can't stay around Sg too long.

Plus I reckon it gets realllyreallly awfully boring, especially when she is all alone at home.

Hey, least I tried to make it less boring...

(I called her 5 times from work today, haha!)

And wonder why I'm soooo happy??

I'm on leave tomorrow (yes, again).

Long weekend beckons!

Shall get Ally to accompany me to the bank tomorrow morning, and hang out with her a bit till she meets Clare and I'll meet him.

Met the girls for dinner on Tuesday! I had a blast!
Went for dinner, Pepper Lunch isn't all that bad without the pepper, seriously.

Took loadsa neoprints too, but the copy our dear friend, Clara sent is corrupted.

I'm Back, and I'm Okay.

I'm back.

The week was crazy, literally.

I'm scared. Everyone is.

Still, life has to get back to normal.

Ally came back on Tuesday, and proved to us that pregnant women have zero memory and slight loss of hearing. haha

Don't even dare to imagine what I'm gonna see on my In-Tray come Monday.
Believe me, I'll have to work to my bones for the week's missing in action.

On the other hand, everyone at work was really nice, with their kind regards, donations.
All my 5 bosses came down to the wake on 2 seperate occasions.
Couldn't have asked for better people to work with, really.
Plus I'm on leave this Friday, so I really shouldn't be complaining. Haha

No Chinese New Year this year, but that's really immaterial.
I'll still snag the pretty clothes as usual, except visiting and red packets will be kept to all time low.

Mel's back a few days now. Haven't quite gotten the time to meet up with everyone, but it'll be pretty soon, I promise.
I really do miss spending times with you all.

Sleeping at 4am everyday for 7 isn't exactly fun, I'll sleep my Sunday away.

Lastly, THANK YOU all for your kind concern and everything this past 7 days.

He may be gone now, but he lives in us forever.

And don't worry, we're okay.

Grand Daddy passed away yesterday at 9.20pm.

The wake's 7 days, so I'll be back after a week.

Thank you for all those who cared, we take relieve that he is now free of pain and in a better place.

Grandad is critically ill in ICU.
The day hasn't been easy on any one of us, especially Mum.
Ally might be flying in, Monday.

Sharon - I'm sorry I wouldn't be able to attend your 21st birthday chalet tomorrow.
Happy Birthday nonetheless, I'm sure you'll have a blast and an amazing time.

Mimi and all the rest who are meeting on Friday - I'm terribly sorry, I doubt I'll be able to catch up this time, cos circumstances do not allow. Next time, I promise k?

It's been quite an amazing year, this 2006.

January:
2nd: Ally returns from Germany (again). Started hanging out with her again... Life was good.
3rd: Returned back to school being 2nd sem of Year 3. Sulking at every chance I could seize, cos our POE individual report was due then! All the torture.
9th: It was exactly 20 days to CNY, and I went to meet Sharon and the rest for Sharon's 20th birthday dinner!
24th: Jane's Driving Test! She got it on 2nd attempt! And you're gonna be over with your P-Plate soon! Yays.
28th: CNY 06. Cheryl turns 20!

My New Year resolution for 2006 is funny to think back.

Lose weight (Never did)
Save more Moolah (Probably a bit, but not significant)
Graduate (Yes, finally)
Get into SMU (DON'T remind me)
Become an air-stewardess (This is SO embarrassing!)
Pass driving on 2nd attempt (Yay me, Yay me, Yay me - With 8 points, mind you! Hah)

February:
11th: Mel's farewell dinner at Marche. And to think she's coming back already!

14th: Just Another Valentine's Day.
16th: Daddy turns 48!
21st: Last exam paper for my whole time at TP.Instant liberation and outta schoool!
23th: Clara turns 20! We had dinner and cake at Genki! Remember?

25th: Mel leaves for Australia!
28th: Got back Mid sem tests, 4 As! Wow!

March:
4th: Ally's gown trying at Marina! It was that long ago?? We spent close to 5 hours there, but definitely fun!
7th: Jean turns 16! I started to temp at Kelly services.
10th: Because Jean turned 16, she dragged Ally and I to watch Date Movie with her, rated NC 16. (They still checked her ID, Hahaha!)
11th: Elias got enlisted into NS, and Jean went Beijing.
14th: Mum turns 44!
15th: I PASSED MY DRIVING, 2nd attempt, 8 points- nothing more.
25th: Alvin turns 16. Caught V for Vendetta- the movie that spun everything outta control! :)

April:
2nd: Accompanied Ally for gown tryout #2, and picked Kenny's friends up from the airport!
8th: Went Dbl 0 with Clara and her bunch of friends. They're pretty fun.
22nd: Grandma's 3rd yr anniversary, and my terrible 1st attempt at playing pool. Haha
26th: KS shifted office, one floor down. one floor is enough to break my back already.
28th: Interview at SPH

May:
6th: Elections Day. Non of my business, but accompanied Ally to cast hers nonetheless.
7th: Angie turns 20!
8th: Started work at SPH, and it's been an amazing ride until now.
9th: Jack turns 18, eligible to take her BTT, but still nowhere in sight.
10th: Cousin Weiling's birthday
11th: Accompanied Ally to Hotel Rendezvous, felt like 2 months ago, only.
12th: Went to Suntec to help Ally select her bridal shots.
26th: HR Division Farewell dinner to Mr Wee at Tanglin Club.
28th: SPH Family Day at Sentosa, had tons of fun with Ally and Jean, although Jean had impromptu tummyache!
June:
6th: Coloured my hair, with the great sponsor, into Tobacco.

8th: Went ICA to renew passport photo for BKK trip!

28th: Went World Trade Centre and Big C.

September:
2nd: Got my Adidas Watch, and The Date. :)
16th: Yeye's 3rd year anniversary.
19th: I turn 20! Celebrated at Fish and Co, followed by a pleasant pleasant surprise! Got my N73! 25th: Jasmine returns from The States!

October:
1st: Accompanied Ally and Jas for gown tryout #3.
2nd: 1st month.
7th: Vivocity opens! Amid all the hype, there's really not much.
22nd: Ally's wedding! All the FUN! Dinner at Hotel Rendezvous.
26th: Lil' getaway at Aranda Country Club!

November:
2nd: 2nd month.
4th: Mali and Boyfriend's Birthday.
5th: Start of AL's O Levels.
19th: Ally leaves for Germany for good. =(

That, was definitely nostalgic to think back of...
And time, definitely has the speed of light.
People came and left, but I hope you guys haven't quite forgotten the great times we spent in 06 together...
