PSP
Monday, February 26 10:33 PM

Alvin got a PSP with his pay packet from the vacation job. (and he hasn't put it down since)
My lil brother is earning his own keeps now! What's next? He's getting hitched?HahahaJust a random Monday post of me scaring myself.
Beautifullllllllll dream
Sunday, February 25 10:00 PM
I had a beautiful dream last night, but that's not the main point.
We went Pasir Ris Park for cycling today.
The skies didn't look so approving initially, but it cleared as we made our drive there.
So we roamed the park on 2 wheels for about an hour, and we left for dinner.
(Enough exercise for the next half a year!)
And you'd never guess.
We had Organic Dinner @ Century Square.
Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, coupled with organic salad, tortilla chips and yoghurt!
Nice.
We should have gone there earlier.
I dig their cheese (ooooh, so thick!)
Except I'm prettty sure there's nothing organic about the cheese.
Haha!
Weekend was fantastic! It was so much fun!
Caught Ghost Rider and Letters from Iwo Jima over the weekend.
Both aren't so bad, and pretty bearable for that 2 hours.
So, yes, 3 popcorns!
But if you had one to pick, choose Iwo Jima.
It's much better compared to Flags of our Fathers, which was also by Clint Eastwood on the same story, just based on 2 different countries' version.
(And Iwo Jima has subtitles!)
Ghost Rider is another Marvel Comic hero movie, which I really didn't know initially although Johnny Blaze sounds extremely familiar.
Haha
My Espirit De Corp is this coming Friday.
Its theme is Retro.
And you know what's the most ironic thing?
I'm in the organizing commitee (that enforces the strict retro dress code aherence on top of seeing every part of the party falls into place on Friday)
And the problem is, I haven't found anything suitable to wear for the event.
My mum doesn't exactly keep leggings or dresses from her time (not like it'd still fit anyway), and I don't own a whole cupboard of print dresses or a whole array of Nicole Ritchie shades.
I really need to find somthing fast!
Anyone, ideas?
Clara, can we go shopping on Tuesday? Pleaseeee?
Ok, that wraps up the weekend entry.
It's back to work tomorrow.
It's pointless to whine everytime this week, I should already be used to this kinda lifestyle.
It's gonna be even worst come this May.
Just keep tuned for my updates.
I'm gonna continue on my beautiful dream from last night.
Sweet Dreams, y'all.

(haha)
It's back to work, again.

Third Day of CNY / 20 February 07
Early in the morning, Al woke me up.
Without the slightest remorse that his dear sis slept only at 3am the same morning.
Pulled myself outta bed, heard that tim sum's for brunch.
But everyone took their own sa-weet time to get ready...
I went to snack on some marshmellows.
The stuff that makes me fat, unknowingly.
Jack and I

Counting his Ang Baos already!
After Tim Sum, we headed down town to Esplanade for the River Ang Bao display. It was bit drizzly and bit shiny. The skies couldn't seem to make up their mind.
Went there, walked a while, had a bit of Mango shaved ice, took some pics with the ginormous God of Fortune (which is still in Dad's digi cam).
And we decided, that's enough for this year.
Hahaha.
Walking back to City Hall, we saw loads of cute paper cuttings on exhibit.
Paper cuttings - something I don't have time for.
Or the talent, strictly speaking.
Mum and Dad headed down to AMK to Cousin Willy's place, while Al went off to Bugis to meet his friends.
Jack and I decided to strut back to Marina Square for dessert at Azabusabo. (The Japanese restaurant opposite Topshop that sells all the fancy dessert).
And then, we shopped, talked, walked, shopped somemore, talk somemore.. and somehow we're already at Tampines.
Went for dinner, and got my photo printing paper.
Yay, now I can print loads more photos with that 80 plus pieces I got today!
Saw fireworks last night while waiting to park at The Cathay @ Handy Road.
Think it came from River Ang Bao.
Only managed to catch a shot of it, which seriously, looks more like a ball of fire.

But trust me, the actual view was nicer than this.
Hahaa
Back to work (already) tomorrow.
So fast.
That's it for the annual CNY Hols.
Better fun next year, definitely since a little baby will be spending its first CNY here in Singapore.
Made in Korea
2:58 AM
I just caught Seducing Mr Perfect @ Cine. (4 popcorns!)
And I officially decided that, Daniel Phillip Henny is like the cutest Korean guy e.v.e.r.
He is also the same guy from My Lovely Samsoon, btw.
This is what I'm talking about, a normal Korean guy with double eye lids.
I can't believe Koreans scream their throats dry for Rain when they have this.

Hot.
Love,
Mrs Henny
Here comes, the pork

Daddy's Birthday / 16 February 07
Waited for this Friday with much anticipation, cos it marks the start of a 4 day break.
Whee!
And of cos, because........
Dad turns 49!
HAPPY 49TH DADDY!
We love you, many many!
New Year's Eve / 17 February 07
The day before New Year, whole family was on work mode. Clean, Cook, Pack, Everything.
We're not last minute or anything know.
There's just too many things around the house.
If you didn't know, you would have guessed there were 10 people living around here.
Hahaha
Had reunion dinner. (No prizes for guessing what)
STEAMBOAT!
I'm not complaining, cos I like my fishballs, and crabsticks too.
Plus, it's easy to cook and clean.
Just don't throw the abalone in.
My teeth's not strong enough to chew rubber.
Haha
After dinner, I hopped on the March and we drove down to Chinatown.
The crowd was.... is there any word that's more crowded than crowded?
Haha
People had to queue all the way from the MRT Station while they released people in batches into the crowded streets upstairs.
They kept having to explain to the many freshly permed hair aunties, that there were no security checks, just that it's too crowded outside.
Good thing I led Boyfriend out another exit, so we were spared the agony of joining that snaking queue.
It was shoulder to shoulder, sweaty skin on skin.
We didn't stay too long, got what we wanted, and headed back on the NEL to Boon Keng.
(Yes, we parked at Boon Keng and took the NEL down to avoid the jam. Say we're smart
Reached Cine on time for Norbit.
It was definitely better than Epic Movie.
And Thandie Newton's too skinny to be hot. (No, I'm not jealous)
Haha
So far, so good for the new year.
First Day of CNY / 18 February 07
Slept in till later than usual, as we can't visit Gran's place this year. (And partly cos I reached home only at 3am)
Everyone took 2 hours to bathe and choose their finest outfit for the year, and we hopped on 2 cabs down to AMK to Big Aunt's place.
Huge-O Boss latest collection. My lovely model, Santonio from Brazil.
Jack in her new Zara top.
And! Those are my curtains behind her.
My dad got them all mixed up after washing.
Al and I.
That's a cheongsam top, I feel so.. oriental.
Strut. Pose. Love.
And spoils the picture.
Hahaa
Jack finally finds time to braid my hair!
I belong to Tofu Street.

Mum all dressed up, Jack flashing her grillz.

Mum and the new Birthday Boy!

Dad and Mum with their baby boy.

We can hardly take a family photo cos' someone has to snap the shot.
And that someone is Alvin.

The folks with their first born.

All together now, say ' Bak Kwa'.

Down North at AMK, we got our 3 little pigs.
(Jack's an impersonation, the other 2 are the real pigs!)
Eunice's grown so much!

The 2 dragons, Jack and Pauline.
She cannot wait, she has to start.
Everyone started to leave around 10, and my March came along too.
We went to catch 'Just Follow Law' at 1am, and I must say wasn't quite impressed by this movie.
And also, where's the usual cast of Mark Lee and Patricia Mok?
Strange.
Slept at 5am this morning, and woke up not too long ago for brunch.
(No, not steamboat)
Meeting Clara for dinner @ Genki later, and sending Teresa off to Australia.
I'm starting to dislike going to the airport, cos I'm never good with Good Byes.
I betterbetterbetter not embarrass myself again.
Booked Seducing Mr Perfect @ Cine later tonight.
It's a Korean flick, and I don't know how I ever got convinced.
Haha, anyways, Happpy 2nd day of CNY!
And enjoy the 2 more days of PH (and pineapple tarts) before it's back to reality again.
And Jane!
Happy CNY Down under!
You've been missed!
I help you keep the ang pao from my mum till you return k!
:)
February, 14th
Thursday, February 15 9:10 PM

Yes, I'm gonna blog about Valentine's Day.
But no, I'm not gonna tell you that Boyfriend cooked me a grand fare of beef slices, prawns and mushrooms, and that we went to catch Epic Movie (which sucked quite bad)
I just remembered how we used to spend V Day in school, before there were roses and boyfriends.
We made do with truckful of chocolates and candies, going from classroom to classroom freaking early before mass started, and we'll be like Father Santa who came 3 months late.
Half euphoric while becoming St Nicklaus for 15 mins, half wishing you had something on your table too.
A Kinder Bueno, maybe?
Better still, maybe it comes with a letter or a card too.
Sometimes, they just scribble on our tables with chalk, which could be quite cute..
Until 2 weeks later, and the chalk still won't come off.
hahaa!
Those, were the real Valentine's Day.
Hahaha
Guess you'll never get this elsewhere.
Anyway, I had a great time yesterday.
But I still find 14 Feb is a bit over-rated, cos I kinda felt like it was any other weekday we went to catch a sneak preview at town.
Haha, except for that meal that took him, 2 hours to prepare.
Yay, last working day before the lonnnnng break kicks in.
Some colleagues already went on leave today.
Mum went to perm her hair today @ Kimage, I got there to take a look but as usual I don't have the luxury of a Nissan March everyday, so I only reached at close to 8pm.
Final dash of shopping spree tomorrow, after work. Think I can count on the malls to open past closing.
Can't wait till CNY Eve, I shall raid Chinatown with my sidekick.
And then I realised, colleagues aside, I don't have that many married friends like classmates or schoolmates.
But smartest is still Ally. No prizes for guessing where she flew to immediately after she got hitched.
Shopping Craze!
Tuesday, February 13 11:32 PM
Just returned from CNY goodies shopping and from Gran's house.
Jas permed her hair!
Makes me wanna too!
But mine's still too short, won't be in time for Chinese New Year..
Oh wells :(

With us both, Topshop will never fold. (Hey, it rhymes!)
Went shopping with Clara yesterday!
We had soooo much fun, and trust me! We wasted not a single second.
I was pushed into every fitting room...

No time to smile properly even, everything had to be *snap *snap.
And everytime I went : " Claraaaaaa, nice?"
She goes : " yahyahnicehurrygetnewpiece"
It was that hurried, it sounded like there was no punctuation in her sentences.
Hahaha!
And I'm so glad she got stuff too, cos usually when we shop..
I end up with the purchases, and Clara ends up with the blisters.
Hahah
But at least yesterday she got herself like what, 3, 4 tops?
Don't ask me what I got.
I'm so guilty.

She was trynna to see if the top matches her tongue. Guess it does.
I'll say anyway!) I got 5 tops, 1 pair of pumps, 3 belts, a newsboy cap (it's so cute!).
We trotted from Far East to Wisma, to Topshop and finally to Heeren. (Met her 2 sis at Topshop)
In 3 hours FLAT. (All hail, us)
Just as we were on a high, the malls had to close (what's new)
That's why I don't really like shopping after work on weekdays.
One word.
RUSH. (No, not the Toyota SUV)
We didn't even stop for dinner.
Ok la, we had food to go, but we really didn't stop literally.
Hahaha
Man, it's so much fun with this girl.
And for that, we're meeting again soon for shopping.
She's convinced we left some stones unturned at Far East.
I second that thought.
We'll be back.

And yes, our dear Clara's turning 21 on 23rd. (She thinks the Chingay is part of her surprise
Which, on the same day I got a CNY chalet.
But no worries, cos we got it all figured out.
I initially told her we'll meet exactly a week after 23rd, cos it's a Friday (can stay out late).
Hoping my Maths don't fail me, I happily added 7 to 23, which gives 30..
And I said: " Clara! We meet on 3oth! Go gather the herd!"
Clara: Oh!Okay! Yay! Yay! YAY!
Only to realise......
There's no 30th this month!
Hahahahhahaha! I nearly burst my belly laughing, when Clara called back (laughing too!)
So we set it on the 2nd March (Fri).
Those who can, please join us k.
We don't have much members left, all left for GREENER pastures. (Read: Australia)
Hahaha
So yes, we'll celebrate Clara's 21st on 2nd March.
It's a friggin date!
Speaking of date!
It's Valentine's Day tomorrow.
I'm happpppppy, cos......
(This is gonna sound so funny!)
Boyfriend and I decided to postpone our own V-day to Saturday to coincide with CNY Eve, cos we were both too tied to get gifts!
Hahaha
And so, Sat's the day.
Now I got Thursday and Friday.
Daddy will turn 49 on Friday, 16th.
I think we're gonna feast somewhere... with seafood
Ally asked me to help her get some Pregnancy Guide that NLB's giving out from tomorrow.
And with my figure, I'd say I'll pass off pretty convincingly as a preggers woman.
Hahaha
And for the 2nd night in a row, I'm sleeping past midnight.
This is so bad.
Till tomorrow,
HAPPY VALENTINE'S, EVERYONE!
You know I love you all!
The last sprint (for Bak Kwa)
Sunday, February 11 10:30 PM
CNY's this weekend!
I can't wait, haha.
For the wrong reasons, which I shan't bore you guys with.
But that's not the main point.
Main point's is this week will zzzooom past faster than I can say, FOREVER 21.
Meeting Clara tomorrow for some shopping!
Hope I get something, cos I still haven't gotten even clothes, and shoes to match.
And no, having 15 sets of lingerie doesn't exactly help.
Hahaha
Supposed to meet Diana on Tues, but the Bak Kwa mum ordered is gonna be delievered to my office on Tuesday.
So unless D, you wanna help me lug 8 boxes of BBQ Pork across town, we'll meet another day k?
Promise!
Sorry about it!
Valentine's Day is this Wednesday.
And no, I'm really not stressing out at all.
O-k, maybe a bit. Cos I haven't gotten him anything.
A lot of ideas, but more often the case of plain ol' laziness getting to me.
Hhahaa.
In any case, I'll be eagerly and gingerly anticipating mine too!
Jane left for Adelaide on Thursday night.
I kept telling myself it'll be like Mel's airport farewell, but I melted as soon as I saw her with her passport.
Reality kicked in, and hard.
Not gonna have my Jane with us for a while.
But she's gonna be back with us, (for a while) in 10 months! I'm waiting k!
Just web cam-ed with Jane an hour ago.
Her room looks pretty empty now, but should be quite cosy once the wardrobe comes in.
Ahh, kinda miss her already.
Always the case until the person is no longer with me.
I just remembered Jane, last year we were shopping for CNY clothes at Taka together and trying to give Elias a makeover from his dowdy getup!
And we had a project submission right after the CNY Holiday, and we practically worked through the 2nd or 3rd day at the McDonald's below my old house.
Haha
Remember???
Feeling tinges of nostalgia already!
Hahaha, I miss those days!
The last I heard, Elias wears jeans now! Hahahah
Work resumes as per normal tomorrow, but I'm hardly complaining.
With this week passing fast (and possibly no mishaps!), the week we come back from CNY will be equally fast too, cos only 3 working days!
Ahhh, trust me.
I'm seriously basking in this festive mood.. and pineapple tarts. (Only the ones with the jam exposed!)
6 more days to CNY.
9 days to FUN.
Sob
Thursday, February 8 11:05 PM
There, she goes.
Be back soon, in 10 months k.
Presenting........ Clara
Wednesday, February 7 11:41 PM
Hi everyone, Meet Clara.
She cracks me up a lot.
*crack*
I love her to bits. (only when she is in a happy mood)
Feels like only yesterday we were in school
Monday, February 5 11:09 PM
We met.
We ate.
We talked.
We laughed.
We had fun.
Just like old times. Feels like only yesterday we were in school.
I'll miss you, girl.
Promise me, you will too. Okie?

Go Lions!
Sunday, February 4 11:05 PM
Let 'em hear the Lions roar!
OLE.
Meeeerrily Merrrrily
2:43 PM
Yay.
Yesterday was a fruitful shopping day.
I got myself a Lady Style Levi's, and Al a Levi's Redwire Jeans.
Don't worry, I won't flash my thong like that. Promise.
Got 2 dresses, in my size and new pieces. (That's the always the sweetest deal)
And a skirt, and 2 bottoms from M)phosis.
But bank account's not smiling today.
Went to meet Boyfriend to catch The Last King of Scotland.
Huge fan of the Scottish Kilt
It's not as gory as I thought it'd be (BUT I didn't say it's not gory)
It's just not as gory.
Hahaha
And as the president of Uganda (Yah, that killed 300,000 during his regime), he gave himself the title:
" His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea, and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular"
You really ought to give it up to this man for his ingeniousity or his whichever adviser which came up with that.
Hahaha! It cracks me up, instantly. I just had to share!
OH YA! Do check the cover of Men's Health this month. JUST check who is gracing the cover this month.
Haha!
Trying to cancel my hair appointment with the salon, so I can meet up with the girls tomorrow.
Heck, how do I even clash my appointments with an organizer?
Sidetracking for 3 seconds, the cheese bak kwa is really outta this world.
Singapore vs Thailand match tonight.
So hyped about, I'm just gonna sit with my folks at 8..
This is spending time.
Awwwww..
After work shopping never felt so good.
Friday, February 2 11:38 PM
7 sets of bra, 6 pieces of undies, 1 jacket and 1 dress later....
I'm all set for the year of the Pig.
Bring it on, PORKY!
More (damage) to come tomorrow!
