I just suddenly came across this photo, and a wave of nolstagia (not very long ago though) hit me.
All the fun we had that day! That was already, 7 months ago!
Time flies, by A380 man!
When is the next cousin getting married??
Oh and Ally, I miss you!
It was Head's last day before she moves to another Ministry.
And for that, we went to Kintamani Restaurant at Furama Hotel for a buffet lunch.
Well, as you can probably tell (or not!), it is an Indonesian Restaurant.
So yes, I can't run away from all the sambal, curry and the occasional Beef Rendang.
And you know what? It actually wasn't so bad.
I actually enjoyed the meal!
Nothing short of yellow rice, coconut milk chicken fillet, breaded fish, soup, loads of soup and damn sinful pastries.
I could just marry a Malay guy now.
Either that or the company, cos the entire CD went, and lunch together with close to 20 people spells nothing but fun!
What do you get when you put 6 girls together, with loads of food?
Girly talk from hair to confinement!
But these kinda topics gets me quite into it, at times.
Hahaa, Oh man, all that gore!
And yes, my new hair came up like 77584882th times into topic.
And surprisingly the response wasn't too bad.
At least it was $230 well spent. -grin-
Now I'm beginning to really love it myself.
Anyway, this morning on the train was kinda funny.
(Cos I didn't tell Boyfriend what I did to my locks last night)
Boyfriend: I'm looking for my girlfriend, do you happen to see her?
Me: -glare- glare- glare-
It's PH tomorrow, but my mind's still at work.
Why is that?
This is so bad.
I'm gonna watch my Shrek 2 DVD again now.
So many things to do, so little time.
Can't there be like, 856 hours a day??What's your problem?
PeeAss :Ally's fucking huge now! 5 more weeks!
I permed my hair.
I don't know how I look like, seriously.
But one thing's for sure - I feel damn regal.
Y'know, like a Queen.
All hail.
We have a new lecturer, and oh-my-god where has he been the entire time?
He's so much better than the previous for crying out loud.
And most importantly, we aced our first presentation.
Great job guys! -kisses
Oh, have I mentioned- Gladys Zheng is my project mate? She is such a comic relief at times! Haha
Yes, Mum is gettin me my new Sony Vaio! The Pink one!
Hurry come July!
I shall go take a short nap till Tuesday again.
Nights people.
Love, me.
Sorry, earlier post might just have been a little misleading.
Don't take it in the wrong context! Hahaha
Sorry to disappoint. :)
Wow.
Trust me, the intensity of that question is enough to blow me away.
I'm such a baby, I teared a bit. (but again, maybe I was hungry, haha)
2 years babe, see you there.
I heart Jack Sparrow.
Today is a good day.
First, we have our 'Eat with your Family Day', and so we get to knock off early!
Secondly, the long anticipated GSS is (finally) here.
Lastly, tomorrow is Saturday.
I couldn't ask for more, can you? - Now, don't be greedy.
PeeAss// This photo entry is ALL about Clara and my shopping escapade today, so you can skip it altogether if it pleases you.
PeePeeAss// Clara kinda fractured her 10 toes. This girl is no good with heels.
On the way home at the MRT Station:

Good night world!
(Oh! I decided to go ahead and perm my locks!)
Read: HORROR
I never actually thought it could happen.
But whatever, these people are kinda an asshole.
My personal views are seriously, 3 months is a bit too (fucking) short to assess the sustainability of a school, isn't it?
So they failed to meet their target intake, ok.
But are they also telling those people who enrolled, oh-too-bad ?
I'm just really feeling for those who pumped 30k into this education, and now having to decide whether to give it up altogether or pack and fly to Sydney?
It's like deciding the lesser of the 2 evils.
Whatever, this is bull shit.
Bet you have all caught the silly ads at bus stops, that you can have WHATEVER and ANYTHING.
Well, I just had 'em for dinner today.
Lemme tell you what I think!
We were at Bedok, and while he was doing the ordering, I was already spying with my eye, what to drink, should the Kopi Auntie come.
And trust me, they never ever waste time doing so.
Come is so slow-mo to describe their scurrying.
Hahaha
I saw, 2 bright cans in the display.
And then, there is WHATEVER, which tasted like Chrysanthemum which was cooked in the Green Tea teapot.
This drink, ( for the benefit of those who are residing in Germany, the States or Adelaide) has 6 diferent flavours each.
With every can lies a surprise, you never know what you will get.
Which quite aptly describes the name itself, ANYTHING and WHATEVER.
I can't say it's bad, because to be honest we didn't even know what we're gonna get.
And therefore we cannot say: "Oh, this is such lousy Coke. I'd have Coca-Cola anytime."
Or, "You call this Zappel?? It tastes more like spoilt apple cider."
Exactly. There were no expectations, so disappointment were kept to minimum.
Anyway, if you were wondering, I finished my can before my noodles came, same thing he slurped up his too before we left.
But don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not a fan, and this could very well be my first and last can.
The good thing that comes with the drink is just one thing.
Now, we don't have to worry when we ask people what they like to drink.
If they want WHATEVER, they get WHATEVER.
Alternatively, if they ask for ANYTHING, hell will they get ANYTHING.
Just don't complain afterwards.
Seldom I get home in time to catch the 7pm show on 8.
But because I'm ordered by the Doctor to stay home today and not infect the rest of the world, I caught 10 mins of it, and I'm quite happy that there's no love lost.
Maybe it's because I'm watching too many HK dramas that local ones make me cringe.
I don't know, everything from the plot to the way they talk.
But whatever, as long as it keeps the housewives happy.
(oh no, what if I become a housewife?!).
Moving along.
I want to change how I look!
Anyone wanna take this risk with me? Clara?? Mel?? Diana??
I've been wearing my manes the same way for as long as dinosaurs roamed the Earth now, and seriously it's getting kind of BORING.
I have few feasible alternatives though, I could either :
Things I'd never do, although widely available are like:
Well, maybe you all can give me a little bit of suggestions if you'd like me to keep my locks, or prefer them with a twirl.
Better still if you'd do it with me. God, I'm making it sound like I'm getting new ink.
If all else fails, maybe the Shrek ear hairband Alvin bought me will come in handy.
Hahaa!

And yes, I'm feeling better now after 24 hours of pills popping, fever, flu, and lots of tissue, and no nose left.
Presenting the latest hype on the block, that's causing all the controversy and frenzy in the media world
"DEAL or BIG DEAL"
No Andrea Fonseka, No numbered briefcases, No Adrian Pang.
But the intensity and sheer excitement stands.
Who will be our biggest winner by far.
Let your fingers show you.

It's really all about taking risks.
Jostling with the crowd, now seems so unappealing all of a sudden. Hahaa
Hmmm.. there's lessons tomorrow. I've only gone through half of what I'm supposed to.. I really oughta get started soon.
IF my medicine hasn't kicked in, and I haven't quite dozed off.
I've been thinking about my life now, and whether I'm happy about it? And if there was anything I would like to change about it.
In the first instant, I feel a bout of happyness. Like I couldn't have asked for better.
Although there's the usual times, when I would ask myself what if I chose the JC path instead?
I might be in my last year in Uni now, probably NUS?
But then again, with risks like this comes with a gamble. What if I screwed up my A's?
And ultimately seek solace in a Polytechnic 2 years after my '86 batch. God, that would have sucked real bad.
And well, Poly had its own attractions then too.
The freedom to wear your own clothes (which convent girls like us yearned damn badly), a campus big enough to host a mini olympics in our sports hall, and really just waking up at 9 every morning was the sweetest deal.
It wasn't so military-like school, anymore.
The late-after-7.25am-and-go-RTC just doesn't apply to us. (We just get a warning letter!)
Oh well, nonetheless I'll be frank, I didn't exactly enjoy the 3 years in Poly. Maybe I went in with too much expectations of the highly talked about tertiary education in Singapore.
I didn't quite think the friends I made were friends.
Seriously, I'd rather call them acquaintances.
Most of the time, I stuck to people I knew waaaay back from SAC like racing to Engineering school just to have lunch with Cheryl and gatecrashing her stupid lectures, which I had to help her in. Or just waiting outside Jane's tutorial class for our many shopping escapades after school.
Seriously, that was one of the fun times I can recall in Poly. The rest were a blur between running to the Libary, Ultra Supplies and the different stalls of the 7 canteens.
After having graduated and armed with a Diploma, I wasn't so sure what I wanted.
People came and gave advice, and I took them in like a wet sponge. Some didn't work out. Some seemed feasible.
Applications to the local Unis were a flop. (Damn calculus)
I started to work on a temp basis, to just get in touch with the real working life and put some cash into my pocket.
With this, I slowly realised what I wanted and from the initial temp position, I moved on to doing greater things in SPH in and more recently now, I'm happy working for the country.
In a way, I am lucky, the only 2 interviews I went so far were successful. I really couldn't have asked for anymore.
:)
Working in big organization like SPH, I gradually realised a Diploma is not gonna take me very far. I can try, but I may end up like this for the next 5 years.
I don't have many 5 years to spare.
Friends from my clique has also gradually gone on to do their degree, either locally or overseas. (Man, I miss all of you so badly tho I seldom say it)
With that, I am now undertaking my double degree at Murdoch University, which I hope I'll be able to see some results in a year and a half's time.
Along the way, I met this wonderful person, who inevitably shaped me and my beliefs (not my physical shape, altho highly possible! Haha).
Being with someone older makes me think beyond my years at times, I really do not have the mentality of a 21 year old to say the least. Hahaa.
I learnt to see many things in different perspective, more from the macro point of view, instead.
And, really it does make it looks better.
Once in a blue moon, I take the role of the 28 instead, and administer on him my own personlised pep talk, while he listens attentively to me like a 21 year old. Hahah!
It's through these many many ways that we share and spend time together to just appreciating his presence in my life.
(It's really not all movies and food like you all think! Haha)
And now, 4 months short of 21, I think I have clocked some reasonable mileage for my age.
Age, he says, is my edge.
Although sometimes it doesn't help that people forget I'm only 21, and expect more from me than I can give.
Still nonetheless, I'm coping pretty fine and perhaps this is what makes me stronger.
I wouldn't compare what I've achieved, to anyone in particular basically because there are even more amazing stories that lies behind them.
What I can however, is to measure against what I set out to achieve back then when I was in Poly year 1.
Let's just say, if the 17 year old Me then saw all these through a crystal ball then, she wouldn't be very disappointed to say the least.
I'm not setting low standards for myself, but I guess with greater expectations come greater disappointment.
So I 'm keeping myself buoyant.
Now at 21, I already see the 25 year old me in the same crystal ball, and looking at it, I can't wait to get there.
But of course not bypassing the journey which brings me there, which really makes it all the more worthwhile.
Looking beyond the quantitative benefits that I will sow in the next 4 years, the next best thing is to also see you people who mean a great bundle to me, together in the crystal ball.
So, there's really no good reason you can give me to drop me out of your life alright?
I'll see all of you there, soon.
Marriage, for most of us is still many lightyears away.. but thought I'd just share this for fun anyway.

As we walk to the left, as we walk to the right.

Congratulations to my girl, Cheryl on her POP!
-tosses the confetti-
Way to go, make us proud. (AND KEEP US SAFE!)
Speaking of POPing, Ally's gonna POP in 2 months also. In a different context altogether of cos.
We're gonna see Lil Baby Kenny. (or whatever he's gonna be called - Sauerkraut??
Haha!
PeeAss:// Sorry I couldnt join you girls today, my day was crazy to say the least.
Man, class tomorrow again.
PeePeeAss:// Diana! So much things to tell you!
Life has been looking good lately.
G'Night world.
:)
Lotsa Love,
Your Favourite HR Executive
Blades of Glory is the BEST movie of the month!
Trust me, you will really LAUGH OUT LOUD from start to the time the credits start rolling.
And we're still laughing about it.. This is Will Ferrell at his best!
Jean - you will like this one.

This weekend has been a movies-and-food galore.
We caught 3 flicks, 28 Weeks Later, Vacancy and Blades of Glory.
28 Weeks Later reminded me sooo much of Dawn of the Dead!
But if you haven't caught that movie, well, good for you.
Vacancy by Luke Wilson & Kate Becksinsale weren't that great either. Maybe it's works like the increased propensity to enjoy movies theory according to what Econs taught me in Year 1.
Haha.
Saturday was so fun. Bought Jack her overdue birthday gift. Since she's got her Mp3 (like, 2 of them!), I got her a bag from Adidas which she can probably put to good use.
Good for training or school.
The Pumas I wanted to get her had no size across the island. Sorry!
Happy Mother's Day!
Got Mum a wallet set from Renoma.
Wallets are Mothers' best friend.
First thing in the morning after we wake up, we feast.
Woke up to damngood breakfast this morning. The pictures don't exactly do a lot of justice to the food, cos that was probably our 5th round into the buffet.

Miso soup, Danish, Fish Porridge, Gourmet Cheese, Salad, Ham, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs.
I like.
Under the BPA (Bo Pian Act),
What I like, he also must like.
HAHA
Tomorrow's already Monday. And there's OMD class to add.
It's drizzling outside. Wonder where dinner later will be at.
This weekend has been fruitful, I found everything that I've been looking for.
Friday, is here all too soon again!
Met J.J today during lunch @ Funan outside Ya Kun, and as usual I think I gave her (and the other people around us) a shock.
That girl, she still talks like a bullet train.
In that 2 mins, I caught : Archive, work, lunch.
I presume she is earning her lunch thru working on some archive?
HAHA! No la.
After lunch, returned back to my hellhole and the rest of the day just zoomed past in fast forward mode.
I never thought I'd say this, but there's sometimes really not enough hours to work.
Yikes. Now that I really did. I sound like I belong to Uranus.
For dinner, we were summoned to Jean's house for a small gathering & dinnner cos it was Gran's anniversary.
Got a lift from my favourite boy in my favourite car. :)
Over at Simei, we played and laughed the entire night away man.
It's reallly fun to do this once in a while.
Especially now that Jas has moved to her new nest in Jurong.
Jean and I got to be closer than ever before. Hahaa
And to kick off, we're meeting end month to shop for her handphone and a gift!
I shan't divulge too much.
Confidentiality's now my day job as well as my middle name.
Zhan Ming as usual cracked us up with his silly antics and accidental spew of vulgarities.
Jean, you're the only likely suspect!
Hahaa, and I bought 'em the famous Marks & Spencers Teacakes.
They love it.
As you can see, it wasn't difficult to make him pose for me with those sweet treats.
I said: Zhan Ming, act cute!
Then I said, Act like Er Jie! (HAHA)
This look, by the way is supposed to be forlorn and sad.
He'll so score with the girls when he grows up! Hahaa
No, I definitely did not ask him to show me his shirt.
Tween blogger meets her match!
Jean flashing her grillz, and she didn't change out of her uniform since 5pm!
That's why she stinks.Further to the previous time when I asked you guys to check out Jean's blog, now see this!
It's like the sequel to 'I Don't Lie'. Trust me, it's guts splittingly funny!
Not everyone (Read: Jas) was keen into cam whoring.
Seow Min tried.
But like I told you, she's really not very keen.
On the headlines, Chris Lee gets a 4 week jail sentence.
I don't know.
But is it the latest fad to get imprisoned?
Read: Paris Hilton & Chris Lee.
Hahaa. What is the world coming to?
Lightyears past insanity?
Waaaay past.
Thank you.
Oh yes, my first week of lessons. OMD on Monday was still held @ Le Meridien. Good for me too, cos it's pretty near (and that I actually know the place)
Sally couldn't make it for first lesson, she was down with flu or something. The lecturer wasn't too bad, least he was engaging. That definitely helped given it's a 7-10pm class.
Lessons yesterday were held @ the new City Campus, opposite National Library.
(Even nearer for me, execpt I needed navigation)
This is much more tutorial-ish with the classroom setting, projector and white board.
Like good ol' poly days.
And more than half the class left after break.
That - is the real good ol' poly days, I'm telling you man.
Hahaha!
Anyway, Monday will come all too soon again.
I shan't stay up so late today, I got lots of programme lined up for tomorrow. :)
Mother's day is on Sunday.
I exepect a long post then! Some thoughts coming in already!
Enjoy ur weekend too, k?
Lots of love,
Gina
I saw the New Vios on the road yesterday morning when Boyfriend sent me to work.
It's really pretty sleek, cos it's looking quite like the New Camry.
(Even he agrees, so it HAS to be)
Y'see, he can never decide which was the more sucky car around everytime I ask:
Hahaha.
To him, that's probably more difficult than the CHICKEN or EGG one.
Went for my 2nd lesson of the week. Haven't exactly got to the really tiring point yet.Jack turns 19 tomorrow!
How fast is that.
Here's a birthday shoutout : HAPPPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!
And for this short period every year from May to Sept, we are strictly speaking just one year apart! It's quite scary come to think.
Honestly, though we are only 2 years apart I think we look at least a good 4 years difference between us.
No thanks to my premature entry into the workforce while she still gets by everyday with one hand over a book, and the other over a paddle.
Met Clara just now, with a list full of agenda.
Buy textbook, buy stationery, buy Jack's present, do some shopping...
Turns out I haven't managed to get her anything yet.
But no worries, cos I already know what to get her. :)
Right now, it's more of putting the thought into action.
I just need time.
We only started shopping from 8pm (and we all know malls here close incredulously early @ 9.30pm)
There's seriously not enough hours in a day.
On the other hand, tomorrow's already Wed. (Yay, early day!)
And Mum & Dad are flying off to Taipei in early June, with Jean and her entire family.
All the 3 kids from my family are staying in Sg though..
Jack has school commitments, I've got my work commitments.. and Al, just plain uninterested.
Hahaha.
Think I'll be missing on quite a lot of fun there, looking at the entire party who's gonna be there.
The sacrifices I make for my career.
Tsk.
Oh well, I'll just have them bring loads of goodies for me - as always.
And Jean , you can continue to video Zhanming's silly antics over there and show me when you guys return!
Oh yea! Jas & Shamimi! (If you all get to see this, otherwise I'll just text you)
Regards to the dinner on 17th right, I wouldn't make it afterall!
Classes are Mondays and Thursdays, dear.
I gotta skip on this one.
And now that it's a couple of mins to midnight, we'll throw the confetti and play with balloons.
Cos, we have a special someone who turns 1-9!
LOTS of LOVE!
7 May 07 (Monday)
You know what's the main point here???
I didn't have dinner today.
:(
Anyway loads to fill bout my 1st day at school, but tonight's not the best of time.
Will do so, keep tuned in.
You know you're turning 21 when ...
And the most significant of all....
So can we have a show of hands, How many of you are turning 21?
Don't worry, it all comes with age. :)
I'm back from my short getaway!
Let's just say I spent the last 30 hours in smiles.
(2 of them in horror and disgust as we caught Turistas, another 2 watching Michael J Fox in Back to the Future, maybe 1 hour on Million Dollar Baby when Hilary Swank was about to die, 4 others eating tonnes of food - donut, chocolate danish, ham and cheese bread, mango yoghurt, Takashimaya red bean pancake, pocky, lychee tea, chicken rice, Pepper Lunch, 6 of them snoozing and the remaining 15 just having pure fun)
Oh! And I decided to annul my diet plans. Maybe until later.
See, I was right. I know myself too bloody well.
Anyway, I just caught Spiderman 3 that-everyone-is-dying-to-watch.
It's mighty good!
As akin to most other flicks, I'm damn sure you all will probably catch this one.
I'm starting lessons on Monday, and that translates to a whole lot of difference to my life.
It could mean...
Whatever it is, I'm gonna make this work.
Cos you told me you'll be there.
:)
We turn 8 today!
And quite guiltily, I'll admit it kinda slipped my mind.
Until I saw my gift in the car! :)
It's really pretty, thank you!
And he didn't even bother to remind me about it this morning on the way to work.
Haha, the morning jam must have gotten to him.
We met after work and feasted at Black Canyon @ Katong.
This was probably to make up for the ones we missed out on in Bangkok. Haha
There were apparently a couple of B.Cs which we passed by in the Land of Smiles, but didn't pop in to try.
So just as well, since we have our own B.C here too. No love lost.
In case you were wondering, it's menu is really fusion - Thai, Viet, Chinese, Western.
Anything that is freaking edible, everything we love.
Food was really quite good. Ask him! He's the food connoisseur here.
We shared a Stir Fried rice with some chicken and prawn buried in it (quite like your Nasi Pattaya), tuna salad (so fresh, any fresher you have to drop a bait!) and a chicken sandwich, which all adds to the smuckering delicious-ity.
Full-o-meter: Seam-Bursting.
And to top it off, drinks & desserts are relatively cheap compared to other cafes and restaurants we frequent too.
This is definitely not gonna be our last time.
Best for people who's gotten sick of the Katong chicken rice since it's just on the other side of the road.
We're fans of the chick rice!Hahaa.
Better stop, else I'm sounding like Makan Sutra 6th installation.
In short, food was great, company was great, and I really don't care that it's just Wednesday.
In fact, it feels so fast. Did half the week like fly by before me or something? I must have been really busy.
Oh, and while I'm at this, I chanced upon this random guy's blog.. I've read a few entries and all his entries are damn funny-sweet about his girlfriend.
Reading it makes me jealous, seriously.
All boyfriends should be like that. Hahaa
But all that matters now is that Friday's gonna be here in 48 hours.
:)
Happy 8th, baby.
MM? HAHA.

WAH LAO!
The true epitome of DARN CUTE and HILARIOUS-ITY.
Clip of the Year!
WATCH IT NOW at my cousin's blog!!
I'm so falling in love with him!
Jean : You're super exploiting your kid bro, but Good Job!
HAHAHAAHAHA!
