Got this with compliments from DFS!
The entire range. The range comes in orange, white and pink..Hmm, I wonder how the others smell like.
According to mum, the white bottle by itself looks like those soya sauce dispenser they use in restaurants. I thought it was funny the way she said it.
Anyway, I've been unwell for the past 2 days. The throbbing headache, temperature and bad case of flu is nothing to crave for. As I was in the auditorium listening to Khoo Swee Chiow of his death defying experience, trust me - I knew what he was going through with that stuffy nose of mine.
Much better now after a looooong night's sleep and some pills.
I'm heading down Vivo later for some good ol' shopping!
Had some exciting news last night, but still pending some outcome :)
Meanwhile, someone told me last night, "Don't marry someone you can live with. Marry someone you can't live without."
That's something to think about.
Oh, thank god. How many times must I emphasize that travelling half across the island every morning is not fun at all?
It's like only a few stops away from IMM.
And when I was young. I thought 1 of the Ms in IMM stands for Malaysia, cos it seems so far!
I'm bringing GEEKY back, darlings.
Till next week until I travel across to CSC- again.
More Joy.
Day 1 @ CSC.
3 words.
Oh so far.
Anyway, go see Jean's blog on their recent trip!
It's damn damn damn damn funny. Really!
http://www.seowjin-ism.blogspot.com/
This is the great-est way to end my Monday.
With thunders of laughter!
For the next 3 days, I have to travel half across the island to Buona Vista for my 3-day course at the Civil Service College (CSC).
Not exactly complaining, since this could be a good chance for me to soak up whatever sunlight we have in our extreme Westness.
I really swear I've never been to Buona Vista since Alvin was primary 2 when he lost his then called, student bus pass.
You probably know, the only replacement counter is at Buona Vista MRT so 13 years ago was the last time I've set foot on the platform.
Haha, scary isn't it.
And Singapore isn't even big to begin with.
Haha
Anyway, I've gotta reach at 845am to meet Analyn. I seriously don't know how long the journey will take.
I'm even contemplating taking the train back to Pasir Ris (the end of the EW line) first, secure my seat to warm for the next hour and then travel in comfort down.
I'm actually not that dumb afterall. :)
Today's Sunday. I adhered to my agenda. Only agenda.
I packed my lecture notes into the respective arch files. You should have seen the mess before that.
ER and OMD notes were e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e
And the only other thing I can think of doing now is to catch some snooze.
My air conditioned has been on since noon, it's raining heavily outside, he's only coming at 6 to pick me up for possibly church, library and then dinner. (yes, I sound bitter geeky)
I effectively have 4 hours.
Ok! Nights!
Monday Beckons!
It's been a while since my film reviews!
Today I bring you the latest Brit Com on our screens - HOT FUZZ.

Meet Sergeant Nicholas Angel and his sidekick - Danny
And Sanford's most wanted - The Swan
As usual, I'm not gonna spoil the good and hilarious parts for you guys. You can jolly well pay your own $9.50 to catch it yourself.
But it's a must watch, cos Brit comedies seldom disappoint. I guess they have a more up to par sarcasm. At least for this flick. Hahaa
So all in all, it was a good Saturday night Matinee.
While we shopped earlier, I tried so hard to keep my hands off the racks. But nonetheless I saw myself eyeing a watch from DKNY.
It's $295, and July would be good. :)
As you probably already know, I'm trying to be a reformed shopaholic.
Ask Mel, she might be able to see some slight improvements.
Hey, at least there's no more impulse buying.
I actually put down the object of desire, walked one round in the mall while thinking long and hard about it, before going back to get it.
Surely there is some credit for this.
Anyway, something to tickle your day.
Boyfriend and I were at the airport after dinner, heading for Pacific Coffee.
But before that, I visited the loo and he was waiting for me at the benches, y 'see.
So when I came out, I saw all the SQ air stewardesses sashaying about in their body flattering kabayas and Bally handbags.
Being the usual prick, I followed suit and acted all modelish and diva-like, while strutting across to him and snapping my fingers for him to get up to join me.
He got up grudgingly (must have gotten too comfortable), and that 2-second delay didn't fit my flow anymore.
So I said: "Dear! You should have gotten up swiftly and sashayed to my side too. You know, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie down the red carpet. So glamorous"
And he smirked : "You mean, Fat Pig and Angelina Jelly?"
I rest my case. We're no Hollywood couple. :)
Next week is already end of June 2007.
We're heading for the 2nd half of the year, ALREADY?
Soon, it'd be CNY again. Trust me.
Saturday was fun, caught tonnes of dvds.
Slept, but not much and woke up at 7am for buffet breakfast, it's so very nice that it puts Ya Kun's cheesy french toast to shame.
Trotted down to church for mass after heavy breakfast.
The jam on the way to church is a clear indication that it IS Sunday. Hahaa

Went to catch 'Men in White' after lunch, and it left me speechless, but 2 words.
Don't. Watch.
I'm sorry, David. I guess it just ain't that fantastic.
All of a sudden, I'm not so jealous anymore. HAH!
Headed back close to 4, a humongous desire to plonk onto my own bed and recover some lost sleep.
But I only had enough time to put down my Adidas duffel bag, grab my Guess tote and made an exit out my front door.
This time, we're heading down to HarbourFront for Daddy's Day dinner.
Eat- again.
I'm so gonna double my dress size in no time.
While the others ate, we snapped. Haha, the rest were too far away so it was just Jacq & I.

I conveniently shoved her outta way.

I can even tell you what she's nibbling at - Crab Claw. (All hail 3 mega pix cam)
Besides, Mum, Dad and Al were more interested in the seafood buffet than to smile for my REVIVED love.
Yes, phone's back! (Which explains the pictures!)
I'm in some form of negotiation with my younger sis for the Motorola V3xx. Yay, will keep you guys updated.
Meanwhile, I got a deadline this Thursday to rush for.
Ciao babes!
I haven't blogged since last Sunday.
And while I make mental notes to blog about a particular event, something else comes along that seems more blog-worthy. Altogether, I just can't find the time to do. So here I am, packed with my load of updates.
First, this colleague of mine who is house-hunting shared her frustration with me on the absurdity of things that are actually going on.
She is Singaporean Indian, mind you. Therefore, no issues with her passport or anything like that.
And the only reason she's renting a place is that her entire family's overseas, so she bunks in with 3 other ex-classmates.
She's currently staying in this super cosy Condo now, but apparently the owners are returning to stay for good, and hence they all have to uproot.
Other than the spate of the rising property prices, she is faced with what I thought was kinda outrageous to be still happening in today's context like :' Oh. You're Indian?" and " Maybe the owners might not mind, since you are a white Indian?", "Indians usually are smelly, y'know like construction workers".
And all these were blatantly told to her face.
I really thought it was quite mean of the agent. (either that or stupid!)
But anyhows, knowing how fiesty my colleague is. Trust me, she gave the person a piece of her mind! A huge piece!
"Tell him he can keep his house!"
Hahaha, I almost died laughing.
Not at her, definitely. But the fact that she was the least bit offended, instead she felt sorry for the agent for being so dense.
At this rate, he'll never get any commission.
Hahaa
But my point is, I thought we've gone past this whole 'racial' thing already.
Aren't we supposed to be living in racial harmony?
Oh, sometimes it just baffles me so.
Before I spark a racial riot on my blog, I better move on to something else.
Moving forward, I took a fellow colleague out for lunch today.
He's from the Philippines who is recently with us for a short stint, as part of his scholarship attachment.
Things he shared were really interesting, but I couldn't start listing all of them here else I'd run into 5am in no time.
Haha.
Anyway, lunch @ Delifrance was great, cos we had dessert too!
This, is the fun aspect of my job cos I get to meet these many people from all over the world.
There were 2 others, who left today after their month-long attachment, and returning to Harvard.
Tomorrow is Saturday, the highlight of the month.
Hahaa, I'm so gonna enjoy myself!
This coming Monday is Family Day, and they'll be screening Pirates & Shrek @ Vivo after work.
Yea, I know it's weird that it's on a Monday, cos usually family days are held on Sundays.
Judging from it, it definitely has to have some economic sense. :)
And it doesn't help that I've already caught both flicks, coupled with my OMD class that is held on Mondays, it's almost a valid reason for me to skip it altogether.
But still, I voted for Sentosa so I'm kinda disappointed.
Oh wells.
Oh yes, and I learnt to appreciate light so much more now.
I experienced one night of total darkness, the worst in so many years!
Hmmm. I suddenly can't think of what else I needa update, except I got a new pair of glasses.
The intellectual kind.
Tomorrow's gonna be fabulous, cos I said so. (and that Nokia finally called for collection of my phone!)
And you all, go have a equally fabulous weekend. Catch you in a bit!
*Father's day in 48 hours, go spread your love.
Finally.
I'm not saying I'm some kinda management whiz, but seriously, taking away the abstract and summary, I'm really left with less than half the words in 3 little pigs before they introduce the big bad wolf.
So, in a nutshell - I exceeded my word limit.
I contemplated adding a disclaimer like, : Hi Dr Lee, I think you missed out a '0' behind '2000?'?
Yeah? Anyway, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, so here's 18,000.
Hahaha. Think he'll flip. And then he'll flip my grades.
I spent the past weeks, and yesterday at Burger King @ ECP typing my ass off on the laptop while staying sober with Iced Barley, and this morning since I woke up at noon, I've been practically on the same surface area my bum would cover right in front of my PC.
Whatever it is, at least it's one hurdle I've overcome.
(Usually, this is the point where I list the number left, but I'm really not so sure about this one, so I'll skip on to next point.)
Moving on, I called Nokia repairs earlier trying to sound like a pissed consumer whose phone had been hijacked for the past week.
And surprisingly, the call went through like superb fast. Maybe they have some kind of 'Cannot-let-phone-ring-more-than-thrice policy'.
And so my point was that it was swift, and the guy in his unmistakable English accent was pretty helpful too.
He told me I should be getting a call from CS's side either Mon or Tues, since it's now ready to be sent back from the HQ.
It's a little bittersweet here, cos I was just thinking of getting a new cell. And I've kinda decided to get the N7373.
Hmmm, would it be crazy to get the N7373 still?
It'll make me seem like L'amour siao.
Haha, but I love the swivel! Really really love!
But back to the root of all evil - Money. Or the lack of it.
I need to save. This time's it's fo real, my sisters.
I know I cheated countless of times amidst my save-for-a-rainy-day initiative, but now I'm done with compulsive shopping.
Must indicate compulsive else I'd have resigned voluntarily from retail therapy altogether.
From now, yes since it's a day from payday and while we're still in the mid of GSS, this will greater test my resolve.
I shall no longer buy things that I don't need or don't wear. I will not get any in-case clothes.
Everything I get must be a value-add to my wardrobe or bags/shoes cabinet.
Anyway, Mum got me a couple of heels from Taiwan, so I should be fine with the 28 pairs I have of now.
Bags? Enough, until my 21st cos I secured a Gucci already. :)
So girls, if you wanna ask me out for shopping, pls (I BEG YOU) don't tempt me.
I'm saving for something huge here - My life.
So the last 2 things I'm getting is my Sony Vaio and my N7373.
And I'll officially retire.
Fitting rooms will be a thing of the past.
Yay, I feel richer already! I should go be some motivational speaker and earn big bucks!
haha
This weekend will be another good one. I just hope your cough stays at bay, okay?
And hopefully, by then I'll be able to do another photo blog again.
It's getting boring here isn't it?
I still got 15 mins to Ugly Betty, so I'll continue (to bore you guys).
I caught Zodiac late last night.. (I was mugging at BK, remember) and I slept only around 4am this morning.
They say people tend to need lesser sleep as they grow older, I think I'm not growing fast enough cos I still need 12 hours everyday!
Haha
Oh yes, Mum, Dad and Al came back on Friday night.
They said this trip weren't exactly fantastic, cos the weather at Taiwan sucked. It poured and dampened their spirit, literally.
I went through their photos, lots of walking, scaling, climbing.
Phew.
Anyway Jean and her whole hoard will only return today, cos they extended 2 more days to go HK. Shiokadoos.
The main bulk of stuff they brought back were food, and my heels, and probably a couple of their other stuff.
Wonder what Jean has to say about her 9 day trip!
Hahaa, Oh yes girl , I heard you went ahead to buy my phone already. Mine just broke down! I'll take back what I said about it being my most amazing phone to date.
I pray for yours.
Hmm, If I have a lamp now (Every girl has the right to fantasize okay, esp with magic lamps and genies), I want...
*Pooof! WOW, this realllllly works. Ugly Betty IS starting in 5 minutes!
Love much,
Gina
I am so so so so tired.
What? It's already a week? The folks return tomorrow.
Thank god, alone under one roof with Jack can get a little awry when she cranks up.
I'm gonna concuss right this second.
Morning half was spent in course and lunch sessions.
Almost feels like a Monday, came and went.
I went Ikea today!
I missed my Swedish meatballs terribly, so I had to go back to satisfy that thick craving!
And it really didn't help that the people @ Nokia called me and in the lady's own words : Your phone has to be sent to a higher level for repairs.
Oh, that sense of damnation.
Somehow, I don't think I'm gonna get a phone back afterall.
Oh! Have I mentioned, how I'm starting to actually enjoy using the 6020, cos it's so featherlight.
Except maybe, its camera is crap VGA, no bluetooth, no mp3, no radio, no nice ring tones, no cable, no USB port.
Other than that, I think I can probably survive for another week on this. Max.
Anyway, back to Ikea.
Since we gave Nokia a miss, we could afford to take our time and drove our way down and reached Ikea at 7.30pm, hungry like wolves.
Ready to swallow a horse.
Dinner was 10 meatballs, a plate of spaghetti, chicken pie and choc mousse.
I'll kill just for the choc mousse from Ikea. Yummmmmmmmy.
Oh, Harsha still owes me Ben and Jerry's, come to think about it! Haha
Anyway we literally wolfed down the food, (we were damn lucky to get a seat even going ahead to order WITHOUT securing one).
You do know how the crowd works at Ikea, esp on a school holiday, don't ya?
(No photos! This is so irritating!)
I can't emphasize enough how I lurrrve shopping @ Ikea, walking through the maze, it seems like it never ends.
I always find myself saying. 'Hmm, this is how I want my next room to look like.'
But more often than not, HARDLY ever. They always serve as an inspiration, just hardly a realistic model.
From kids section to sofa beds paradise, I tested foam beds, spring beds, sofa beds, played with swivel chairs, baking whisk and dish washing brush, pretended to act smart by knocking on some wooden cabinet and frowning while saying, ' Hmm, solid.'
(By solid, I just meant the state of the matter. I know nuts about wood seriously)
And best thing about Ikea was that no one cares, neither would they stare, cos everyone's probably doing just the same.
(Either that, or stealing Ikea pencils!)
Hahahaa!
In the end, I bought a couple of office supplies, and so did he.
I wanted to get that little pot of pink cactus.
He said no.
I wanted to get this long cute mini vase, so I could place it on my workstation with a little flower in it.
He said no.
Oh, what the hell.
Paid, and made our way out. Damn, Ikea's dead serious on the not issuing plastic bags rules man.
We actually had to pay for the 3 carriers. I can so start a business doing this too.
Stopped by the supermarket and got myself another truckload of titbits, swedish chocolates, pies, cookie and chips.
Nice!
Would have dragged a packet of 1kg frozen meatballs and packets of meatball gravy home, if he didn't stop me.
I'll just bring Mum there to get it for me.
Finally got home close to 10, tomorrow is already Thursday!
Mum, Dad and Al gonna be back on Friday! :)
Foundation courses, traditionally used to be residential in past years, and in a little way, I wish it were still the same for this year.
But well, I guessed we have nonetheless captured the essence and objective of the course altogether, be it one day or two.
Got to know a lot of people, better.
As in I knew them from like, emails and all.. but it's only today the interaction got a little more interpersonal, less virtual. (Read: Email)
Hahaha
The games were intense in my own definition. I most certainly had all the exercise I need for the entire year.
I'm such a fat slob of lard.
Harsha and Analyn were damn funny during the rope game la! I was also getting that cold feet while making a mad dash for it.
And while promising Analyn not to laugh at her, I couldn't control! Haha
Probably because of that, I got whipped by the rope several times myself.
In Harsha's words : Oh, what the hell.
I would have taken a couple of pics to upload here myself, IF my N7390 weren't STILL in the Nokia Care Centre.
But fret not, I will be making a trip down personally tomorrow to redeem my prized possession.
Oh! I ran into Joanna (Jane, your sis!) at Downtown East during lunch. I forgot her name, and I was on the line at that point, so I really just yelled in random : Jasmine, Joanne, Joanna.
Ah-ha! Joanna.
Cos she turned. I realise I'm getting bad with names.
Whatever.
Looking across to Wild Wild Wet from Aranda makes me wanna grab a rubber tube and float away into the waters too.
Who wanna go Wild Wild Wet with me??
I promise I won't displace all the water when I do a flip!
So, who's in?
:)
PeeAss:// Taiwan Trip Day # 4 .. and I just discovered a deep dark secret of someone! Shhhh
Taiwan Trip Day #3
Yay, I get to sleep in a little late tomorrow. (and we get to wear casual!)
I'm not heading for work, cos I'll be out on course. And guess where's it held. It's damn near my place to say the least. No trains tomorrow, 2 buses at the very least. One to and one fro.
This way, I can work on my assignment tomorrow since I'll prolly be home earlier than usuals.
Mum msged us from Taiwan.
Her sms read: Don't even think about it (getting a new phone!)
Hahaa, NO LA!
Any spider sense wouldn render useless through that many airmiles away.
Haha!
More like to tell us they are on their way to Hualian and that it's pouring over there.
Thanks, that's like totally rubbing it in.
It's freaking hot enough down here.
I can practically oil a bloody kwali from walking to work. 3 times over.
Work today was meetings, after meetings, after meetings. Before I knew, I had to dash for class.
Can you spell STRESS backwards?
I can. G-I-N-A.
Maybe Aloysious somehow knew, so during class today..he extended our deadline and cut short on the requirements!
Oh, almost heaven.
Maybe, not quite. Heaven is not until next Saturday.
:)
I already feel so damn motivated to complete this assignment with a single thought.
HD *, Here I come!
* That's a High Distinction, by the way.
I've been in front of the comp for the past 6 hours, taking away 1 for Ugly Betty. I'm trying to finish my assignment. Help!
I am so brain exhausted!
Woke up slightly after 11am, and went to church for mass. There was a mini foodfair, the cheese sausage I had puts the one GV sells to shame. Haha
And my phone officially died on me, so I brought it to Nokia @ Century with the little hope of reviving it.And now using Boyfriend's dated Nokia 6020 (Not funny okai, stop laughing)
Y'see, I keep getting error in connection, and it doesn't help that messages and whatnots come almost an hour after they were sent. I had trouble sending on my end too.
The first time I actually see something in my outbox.
Usually it's instantaneous.
So while we were at Nokia, I couldn't help but find myself peering over the new range of cells. Hmmmm, makes me feel like getting a new one already.
BUT this is so not right.
Truth be told, I've only been using this baby for 6 months (since X'mas), and to get a new one now, makes me seem, well kinda extravagant isn't it?
What makes this worst is that I'm actually eyeing the Nokia 7373, which all the 3 blind mice can tell it's more or less the same thing, except the swivel.
Swivel!
But that's not a strong enough excuse for me to change phones.
Think my mum will just slap me from Taiwan if she hears! Haha!

Alternatively, I was thinking of gettin the Motorola Razr! Since I've been wanting the Pink Razr all my life. (until Jack got it of course)
Hahaa, but I really don't mind except that it's gonna be my virgin Motorola. I don't know how user friendly it gets, but I can be one hell of a stuborn Nokia-n, if you catch my drift.
And yes, your help comes in handy here. The Nokia 7373 is retailing at $395, whereas I haven't checked out the Razr. So without the price bias, you can help me to decide whether I should:
Yup, that should be useful. Let me know what you think okie.
Oh yes, I caught Shrek 3 yesterday. Boo. I don't like.
It gets worst, somehow with each installation.
PeeAss // I will post my curly wurly pics up soon k!
PeePeeAss// Day #2 of Taiwan Holiday!
PeePeePeeAss// Meanwhile, I'll be EXTREMELY busy this week.
God, just let me get over with it.
Amen.
Woke up veryveryvery early this morning (ok! at 9am!) to send my folks to the airport.
Jean and her family took CX, so theirs was an earlier flight at 8am, whereas my family's are at 12.40pm.
So I didn't get to meet them all at the airport.. Oh well. We took 2 cabs down, cos Al's girlfriend wanted to send 'em off too. She was already at my place before I woke up.. Haha, I think they were just waiting for me to wake up and bathe.
Reached the airport, passed by the new up and coming T3, which I must say looks pretty impressive from the outside. Hopefully, I get to use that facility soon, it opens in Jan 08 btw.
Dad says it's for European flights, I'm not sure.
They already checked in days before, so they basically just offloaded their luggages and we marched to Crystal Jade for Brunch.
All that Tim Sum! Yummm. Oh, and I found out Daphne doesn't take pork. No wonder she is super skinny. Not good, makes me look fatter.
And guess what, for sending them. Mum got me a brand new Gucci Rush 2! :D

Smells like Heaven
It was really an innocent purchase (in case you thought Airport also having some mad sale) cos Dad went to return the trolleys, we just strolled inside the perfume section and I saw Rush 2.
Sprayed on the paper as usual, so I can keep in my bag to make it smell good. Haha!
Then Mummy was like, "Is this what you have at home?" I told her what I have is Gucci Rush, not Rush 2.
Then before I knew it, she was already paying for it.
She must have felt bad leaving me behind.
After they went in departure (most probably to shop @ DFS cos Dad is visiting an old friend), I wandered by myself and landed at TM.
Just get well soon okie?
And folks - Enjoy yourself! Buy me lotsa lotsa lotsa barang k!
Met up with Mel after work today! Clara couldn't make it. (Too bad)
I was late, as usual.. cos of the many papers I had to rush. Gaaawwwd.
Nonetheless I still managed to get my ass down at Orchard by 7.15pm (we were supposed to meet at 6.45pm).
So actually not that bad right, I practically flew down from Cityhall the moment I shut off my laptop.
Haha, and traffic was a killer. MRT, that is.
Met her and went to collect my skirt @ Wisma, trotted a little more to see her Levi's jeans and then decided we should just grab some grub first before continuing on our shopping fiesta.
Deciding what to eat is ALWAYS, and will ALWAYS be the most mind boggling and gravity defying question.
It almost seems like, having to eat is such a chore.
Anyhoos, we made our way to Subway @ Fareast and made dinner outta 6-inch honey oat, lettuce, tomatoes, honey mustard, ham, bacon, cheese, cucumbers, oatmeal raisin cookie.
Nice, I miss Subway.
I just wish the one at Funan would open soon.
We spent the rest of the time at Far East going through the many many racks of clothes. I managed to get some pretty good bargains (which Mel prolly think I'm a sucker again).
hahaha, Guilty as charged.
My folks are flying off to Taipei tomorrow morning, so I'll be seeing them off at 10am, before embarking on a week long marathon without my parents and my bro.
I hope they don't forget me, while strolling along XiMengDing or the 101 building for that matter!
Anyway going to the airport makes me feel as happy as a lark, plus it's Saturday when it really feels like Tuesday after the Vesak day PH.
What more can a girl ask for?
Oh well, one piece of sad news tho. I won't be making my way down Mandai this Sunday afterall.
SIGH.
:(
How I miss seeing wildlife trapped in cages.
Oh well, maybe next time. My boy ain't feeling well.
Alright, I'd better take my leave now. Don't wanna miss my flight to Snoozeville.
