Hedgehogs

Did you just cringed at the picture or did you think it's those are the most adorable (yikes!) thing?
Oh wait, you might not even know what on mother earth was that in the first place.

Those- are baby hedgehogs by the way.

At first look, it looks pretty disgusting. People who know me knows HOW MUCH I hate rodents. I can't put a definitive figure to it.
And that - reminds me of everything rodent-y.

But again on like, 15th look. I can make out the baby hedgehog. Well, not exactly cutest thing ever now, just less hideous.
I half imagine to be like Sonic, collecting golden rings around a hoop. Except in the wrong colour
(Or, what's that female sonic called again? Yah,looks a bit like her)

Oh well, then again on the 16th look. I feel as if my dinner is gonna come out.
My point here in this entire entry is really, I don't know what I want.
I'm constantly searching but I think I might be going in a circle. I'm trying to convince myself of otherwise, but then he facts soon make it way back by nightfall.

Could it be when I start to make out details, I learn to understand it better? Or am I just trying hard to conform?

Why am I even getting all psychological here? I think it's my upcoming exams.

Maybe it's that time of the month. Whatever.

It's already August.

Went to Simei for Zhan Ming's birthday party. Oh man, you should really look at tater tot's cake! It's an entire airport runway complete with 3 aeroplanes.

Anyway, the point here is during the entire evening I played with Min's DS lite.

Well, at least the times when she was distracted by something else and I managed to get hold of it.

And OHMYGOD, that pink handheld can be summed up in 2 words:

Pretty; and
Fun!

I played with some cooking game, Sims 2 Pet and a bit of Nintendogs.

It's just a woman's prerogative.
Haha, we were celebrating at Seoul Garden with Jean last year on the very same day! Remember??
It's been a whole year already??? Now, this is damn fast!

On the other hand, someone is in luck.
AL is one of the 3 exclusive winners of a lucky draw to meet WWE wrestlers on a one-on-one basis.
He bought his tickets for the match today like 2 months back, but luck would have it, now he has a bonus of meeting them in person.
Guess someone finally got his wish of meeting beef curtains after what, 10 years of pure homage??
Hahaa, they are meeting one true fan tonight. He wore a white shirt so they could sign on him.
Gee, that's my brother for you.

We went Marina today, and managed to catch some glimpses of the NDP preview.
And the line-up of the uniformed group at Suntec was sooooooo impressive!
I wanted to snap a few shots, but those policemen were really keeping a close watch on people trynna to be funny.
Guess you can't be too serious for an annual event like this one. Sorry, i meant ESPECIALLY this one.

With that, the whole MS was packed! If I'd known earlier, I would have suggested somewhere else for the night.
Parking almost turned disastrous, but as usual. I always get lucky with lots. :)

It's already the end of July now. Come Monday will be the 30th.
(Which also translates to payday coming soon. Yay!)
And August will be here all too soon.
August means National Day, exams, exams!

We're 2 months into 2nd half of 2007. I can almost smell the turkey of X'mas roasting in the ovens with cranberry sauce already.
Trust me, it won't feel like it's just 4 months away until we see Xmas decor lining up Orchard soon.

Tomorrow is Sun, if I'm not wrong, it's Zhan Ming's birthday and that lil tot is having a party.

One big hurdle down, 2 more to go.

But until then, I have a bit more than 2 weeks. So Clara and Mel, pls be patient k.
Once I clear my exams, I'll see you guys a little more often. =)

Apart from my tests, yesterday was a hugggggggggge day for Potter Fans. I personally made my trip to Haris to check out the book.
Nah, I didn't pre-order it, knowing full well I wouldn't have the luxury of such time.
And even if I did, it's 53 buckaroos.
I'll just wait till borders hook a 20% tag on it.
Trust me, this always works. (and works out to be quite a bit at that, 10 bucks!)

Haven't been shopping a lot lately. Helps that Mum got me loads of Zara from Hong Kong.
My saving $ plan is finally going to materialize.

I skimmed through the book, mostly the end.
BUT I shan't be the spoiler around here.
One thing's for sure, Ms Mah might send me some frost bite personally from down under.
That's IF she hasn't finished it in the first place, but I highly doubt it.

While I'm at it, you guys should go catch Knocked Up. It's uproariously funny as quoted from some source.
In my whole words, It's just drop dead hilarious and earnest despite the not-very-star-studded cast.
So go watch it, be it in Aussie, Germany (Ally- you should be able to relate to this the most!), and Singapore.
Katherine Heigl is so hot as a mum. If everyone looked that good pregnant too.

Got wasted having 6 sticks of satay near Old Airport Road after movie. I'm getting pudgy, anyway.

Shall enjoy myself today in the outbacks and not complain about Monday, only cos I'm on leave tomorrow.
And on course Tues and Wed. Will only be back to my trusty laptop on Thurs.
I hope I don't get email overload by then.
By then, it's a whole vicious cycle cos exams start in Aug.
I'm part time super woman.

Fyi, River Island's having their mid year sale, ladies. I just went to the one @ Raffles after work today. The sale's pretty decent.

Tomorrow's itinerary:

Sleep in later, Mum says no need to send 'em off
Wake up at 9 and watch repeat of HK Drama
Nobody to get breakfast tomorrow, but tonnes of instant mee awaits!
Study modules 2-3 of OMD
Get dressy and pretty
Return Library books @ NLB
Buy those 2 pairs of URS stilettos I've been eyein'
Get Analyn her Braun Buffel bag if she finally makes up her mind on the model
Window shopping, and hopefully get some new clothes
Harry Potter at 10pm
Inch towards Sunday
Groan, sigh and sleep and wish it were Friday all over again

I just got off IDD-ing Ally!

Wow, she definitely doesn't sound like she'e just given birth to a baby. All that gusto.
Haha, guess that thing people call maternal instinct must be finally getting to her.
I'm so really really extremely happy for her! I
Makes me feel like doing a rain dance already. Haha

Back to the Baby!
B's a little yellow due to Jaundice, and it is keeping him for one more day in their care, and so Ally and lil Jaivyn will only be back home tomorrow.
Yup, Ally promises peektures!
Yay!

Anyway, just in case you were wondering - y'know after a delivery, they gotta sew you up down there.
I wouldn't expect anyone reading to have gone through that since we're all single.
Coming from a new Mum of less than 72 hours, she told me labour pains are 100 x of that pain.
(since she had just experienced both)
And so, to quell that age old rumour - Childbirth is not as easy as shitting.
So drop that thought.
Screw it, shitting doesn't even hurt in the first place.
Haha, I know! Too much details here.

Le Sigh. How I wish she is in CGH instead and a tiny hop away.
I probably flew down to see Baby that very night she pop. Haha
Instead, she is 16 digits away inclusive of country code and area code.
But she promises to be back during CNY 08.
Looking at the rate time is travelling these days, I've a strong feeling it'll be all too soon till then.

Well, that's just a lil update on Ally.
My cousin, a mother now.
Before she used to think all babies look alike, now Jaivyn is the cutest thing in the world.
The joys of motherhood - we'll never fathom.
Maybe until 30.

MY BABY NEPHEW IS HERE!

Ally gave birth to a chubby 3kg baby boy in Germany yesterday evening.

Both mother and son are doing great, according to Mum.

I was out when she called, so didn't get to talk to her.

Nonetheless, CONGRATS ALLY!
