We've only just begun to live
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way
And yes, we've just begun...

The Quintessential Girl Next Door
OR SO YOU THINK.
Sunday's Girl
Sunday, October 28 9:40 PM
Slept at 4am this morning and woke up bright and early at 10am.
Hungry la..
And spent the rest of the day working on my e-learning for a course sometime next week.
Econs is this coming Sat! And Law is sometime after next. I realllly hope it doesn't kill me. God, pls help me...
Yup, and D&D is this coming Fri. (which automatically means I gotta skip Econs again)
I'm hoping it's fun, with all the VVIP and to check out what everyone's idea of glam. The theme for this year's D&D is the Integrated Resorts coming up on our shores.
Not that difficult to dress up, if you've caught Ocean's Eleven, or Twelve or Thirteen. Thing is, I still haven't decided what to wear. Heard the table cloth's gonna be black, so arriving in black will just camoflague you among the sheets. White isn't an alternative either, cos I'll end up looking like a bridesmaid.
Haha. I'll think about it on the car to work tomorrow.
Yay, McDonalds' Breakfast awaits!
Coming Sunday is also my favourite boy's birthday. Whole lot of fun stuff lined up. Heck. I wish the test weren't this weekend so I could at least enjoy first.
13 signs that you're falling in love
Kevin's 21st Chalet
3:18 AM
I went to Kevin's 21st Birthday chalet today.
T'was a great opportunity to catch up with some cousins from Dad's side. It was really nice to see them, esp Wei Ling, Pauline, Willy, Dickson and Kev himself.
I was really busy (travelling) that I only had time to get his gift today before going to the chalet. And don't discount my effort immediately ya, I already had in mind what to get. (pretty much)
Was undecided between a couple of gifts when I got to TM, cos you know people don't turn 21 every other day.
In the end, Al and I shared and got him a G-Shock. Nice! While trying on and choosing them, I actually saw a couple few which I like too...
But sadly, my 21st is over. :(
I'm now pinning my hopes on X'mas... Dear??
Hahah
Anyway, made my way to Downtown East close to 6 pm, met Al and Daphne (that's his gf in case you were in a cave for the past year) and went to Blk H, 1826. (Can buy 4d! haha)
Wei Ling and Pauline were already there.. and so while waiting for the BBQ, we chatted. Wanted to have taken some pictures, but I think it really slipped my mind.
Oh yes! Wei Ling and my 3rd aunt (which is her mum) were realllly sweet, they remembered my Bday! I got a gift from Wei Ling while my aunt gave me a red packet.
It was really paiseh cos I didn't throw a celebration.
Still, the thought of remembering that I turn 21 was really nice.
And guess what! Remember I mentioned I was looking through the range of Baby G and Casios while shopping for Kev's gift, I got a Casio in return too!
With love from Wei Ling! It is reallly pretty! I love it sooo soo much.
Thanks girl!! :D
Anyway, throughout we ate sausages, satays, sang the birthday song and ate the blackforest from Emicake. Left around 9.30pm, Boyfriend came to pick me up for a midnight flick at The Cathay.
We caught Rendition! Whoever that said it sucks, must be watching a different movie, cos I thought it's really not bad.
And in the car, he passed me this bag and asked me if it's okay.
Okay? What's okay?
When I peered inside the bag, I caught a glimpse of the Nalgene I wanted to get since eons ago. I kept procrastinating, cos I thought it's pretty extravagant. Haha, and he went to get it for me!
I'm suddenly receiving so many treats, it's almost like my birthday instead. Hahaha
And let's not forget my uncle popped by in the afternoon, cos my cousin Jasmine holiday-ed in Japan and got me a souvenir and some great chocolates.
Thanks Jas!
Also, if you would have realised by now, I changed my blogskin. Just felt bored (after studying econs the whole morning), so wanted to have a little face lift! (In line with Picanto's face lift model)
Hahaha, anyway, here it is. It is the tab layout so you can't see everything (tagboard, links etc) in one page. You gotta click to navigate. Click on 'here', and not the words like 'entries' or 'friends' cos they will shutter.
If you don't get what I mean, visit me more often and you'll get used to it. Also, also! Tag so I know you're here. Randoms, meaningless, simple. Anything! I just wanna hear from you!
And yes Jane, I miss ya too! Counting down to your return! We'll catch up then!
Great, it's now 3.37am and I'm still online.
Happy 21st Kev!
Nights all!
The AMAZING race
Thursday, October 25 7:13 PM
I'm BACK!
And I got many many many things to blog. I am not quite sure I know where to begin.
How about Monday morning?
Monday
Woke up at 4am (having slept at only 12.30am), gave Boyfriend wake up call, bathed, changed and packed the remaining remnants.
Dear came to pick me around 5, our itinerary included stopping by ECP McDonald's for breakfast before heading to Golden Mile.
BUT IT POURED. Cats and Dogs!
We gave it 30 mins to stop, it didn't. It took close to an hour until the downpour subsided.
No prizes for guessing, we gave Ronald a miss and settled for 7-11 near GM.
After Dear parked at his office, there was no freaking cab at all. It must be the rain!
Irritated, we walked across to GM. We had to check-in by 6.30am. We were still outside Lavender MRT at 6.20am. Managed to get to GM on time, boarded the coach and made ourselves comfortable. Our road trip started exactly at 7am.
The real AIR BUS, literally. HAHA
On board the double storey coach, it comes with a comfy recliner armchair, fully equipped with games, movies, songs etc.
5 hours journey shouldn't be that difficult with these entertainment. Plus, I brought along my book! (I finished it fyi, will discuss it another entry)
My only grouse was that there was no in-cabin toilet and my bladder didn't exactly win me any prizes for being strong. (This will bring me to my horrible and nasty toilet experience later)
Thankfully, there were toilet breaks along the way.
I think I just woke up. Or emptied my bladder. Either one.
First stop was Singapore Immigration at Tuas. This came quite quickly, I was still getting comfortable in my seat.
Next stop is at - scary background music- Yong Peng!
OH MY GOD.
The loo at Yong Peng is the most DISGUSTING I've ever been to. Like some toilet in my nightmare. We stopped by Yong Peng at around 9am for a short breakfast and toilet break. So I thought might as well go to the toilet since it's gonna be a long way till KL.
I could smell the toilet from farfaraway. (I nearly threw my noodles out)
The first cubicle that greeted us, kept everyone away. (I heard a lot of 'eeeeeee', but I didn't have enough courage to look)
There is no queue inside. Like a mad house.
A stupid china women flung her wet hands and the water kena my legs. (I don't wanna know what water was that)
There were houseflies e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e.
They are still using squat pans! (I don't use squat pans!)
Yong Peng toilet is just disgusting. PERIOD.
This is the legendary Yong Peng, near the supermarket area. I was too grossed out to even snap the toilet sign, PLEASE.
Moving on, the next stop was at M'sia checkpoints and that wasn't till another 2 hours later. By the time we got there, I had finished my book and was already snoozing. Boyfriend had to wake me up.
Along the way in our coach after another toilet break.
We reached KL around 1.30pm, checked into the hotel, dropped our stuff and hit the malls before you can count to 3.
The lift lobby at our hotel. They are still celebrating Hari Raya as you can see.
Dinner that night was at The Ship. It's a themed restaurant and their servers dress all like captains and sailors. I had baked fish fillet and he took his ribeye steak.
It was good, not expensive at all. About RM 73 for 2 people, which sets you back around S$31. You can hardly get Kenny Rogers for 2 people with that price here.
I'll say it's quite a steal.
Since I'm not privy to spicy food, McDonalds settled another meal (it's really cheap there), and the occasional Baskin Robbins for ice cream! Sinful, but who cares. Really.
Starbucks is EVERYWHERE in KL. I don't know why. So much so, that we thought we went 1 big round to arrive at the same location, when we were in fact already somewhere else.
Just that all the malls happen to have Starbucks at the entrance. Why ah?
Perhaps the 85th Starbucks we came across in 1 day.
This is NOT one half of the Petronas Twin Towers, doofus. It's some communications tower at KL.
At the cross junction at the streets, which reminded me of the time when we were at Bangkok a year ago.
Some DON'Ts at the KL Monorail station
Every monorail station is sponsored by a company. This company gets to plaster the whole station in its advertorial posters etc.
Like this station - Imbi, is sponsored by Hotlink (some Telco). So when they announce the station, they go: "Imbi Station, Hotlink." Haha, I actually thought Hotlink was part of the station's name.
Below the monorail station. More Hotlink.
LV Boutique!
Our 1st stop: Berjaya Times Square
At Berjaya Times Square, we took neoprints! Funny right, to travel all the way to KL for photo stickers. Haha. Anyway, their neoprint stands there are rather primitive in the way it operates.
Don't get me wrong. It looks like any of our 'Pretty in Tokyo' here. All pink and colourful with neon lamps, but the way they do it, is just quite different.
In Singapore, we change the money into $1 coins and proceed to the selected booth to choose your own frame, take the pictures, design ourselves and VOILA!
BUT!
In Kuala Lumpur, we have to go to the counter and then they will give us a big catalogue to choose the number of shots we want. After we chose the number (we took 5 shots),they will refer you to another stand where there are another catalogue of different frames where you get to choose the frame for your shots.
Afterwhich, we have to write down the frame code number and return to the counter where the person will input something into his system and allocate the selected neoprint stand for us to take the pictures. (Not any machine you fancy)
After taking them the shots, you inform them and they will print for you. Once the printout is out, you get to choose the laminate. Some with designs on them, some are clear.
Finally, after all is done. You pay them in cash. (which needs not be $1 coins)
The neoprints we took!
Hahah. So now when you go KL, don't act swa ku like us k? :)
The return trip back to Sg wasn't too bad too. I tried my best to hold my bladder when we passed by Yong Peng but hell, I really had to go.
And so I endured that stench and made my last final trip to the loo of M'sia before scuttling back to my comfort zone on the coach. To think of it again, ewwwww. Please don't make me do this again.
A random picture of 7-11 while waiting for our coach back to Sg!
The return trip overall was great except for a slight traffic jam! On the whole, KL is probably your best bet for a short break out of Singapore.
I'd recommened that you take the morning coach (like at 7am), so you reach KL around 1.30pm ,just nice to check in and hit the malls. Besides, it won't be that safe to travel at night when the roads are dark.
Grassland didn't disappoint. Boyfriend and myself didn't experience any motion sickness throughout.
Till then, we shall look forward to our trip next year. :) Hopefully, the Sg-M'sia route for Tiger will be up by then! (I just saw it on the news this morning)
Since we were on leave for another day, we decided to check out Swissotel the Stamford and just spend our Wednesday-Thursday there.
View from the 33th!
Our room was on the 33th storey. Gives me an instant rush and claustrophobia looking down like that. And let's not forget the risk of dropping my phone and killing someone.
The room was so huge, and nice and comes with a balcony overseeing the skyline of Singapore, including the Singapore Flyer, Esplanade, Suntec City, Marina and the coastal waters.
It does help that Swissotel the Stamford is right smack in Cityhall, with Suntec a stone's throw away and Raffles City literally just below our feet.
I think I can see my cabin on the Sg Flyer from here!
We checked in at 2pm, trotted over to Suntec to catch Jodie Foster in The Brave One at 4 pm. Nice movie, good ending, go catch it.
Returned with dinner and loadsa junk to last us through till this morning. Watched somemore tv when we returned and nua-ed until we fell asleep. Sigh, such bliss. This is my exact definition of Eat, Sleep and be Merry.
Hahaha
The view at night is exceptionally beautiful.
$375 will get you a night this close to Esplanade. Right in the heart of the island.
Back to work tomorrow and it's the weekend already. Nonetheless I'm so happy I spent the last 4 days the way I did.
And it wouldn't had been the same without your company!
Love ya!
Here we go!
Sunday, October 21 11:29 PM
The crowd was slightly slower today (being Sunday) and normal beings have to work tomorrow, unless you're travelling and on leave for the next 4 days!
Hahaha
And so, yes. Slower crowd which definitely ease my job a little. Not the standing part though, you still need to stand and hover around with or without the stream of people.
Anyway, somehow after yesterday, today seems like 2nd nature to us, although foot still hurts BECAUSE feet will always hurt when you stand for 9 straight hours.
Over lunch at BK, Analyn and I were laughing over every little thing and funny/weird people we met at the fair. I'm so glad I'm doing this with her, cos we get so silly together it's fun. I am just so glad and relieved it's over.
And Harsha came visiting too! All casual in shorts cos she got dead drunk last night. I shan't go into details, but that's Harsha for you. hahah Oh yea, she turned a grand old age of 23 on Wed. Happy Birthday Hershey!!
Alright, it's now 11.37pm and I've to wake up at 4am later.
Not funny at all.
I got to go. Catch up when I return.
Ciao!
Sleep Deprivation
Saturday, October 20 10:03 PM
My god, my god.

Over a bowl of Udon
Thursday, October 18 10:50 PM
Met Clara for lunch today. She trotted down from school and I too dragged my ass down to Capitol.
Met for Uma Uma Men, since I know Clara is practically a Japanese gourmet incarnate. She craves anything raw and jap-py.
But just as well, since it's been a while I had Uma since the one at CS closed down. (After giving us a 15%-discount-on-your-next-visit-coupon"
Crap.
Anyway, she has some Unagi Toji and I had udon. I don't know what it's cooked in, but it's nice. Like Ee-Mee.
Sorry ah, I'm still pretty much a chinese cuisine girl. Haha
Been ages since I met her, and thankfully she still looks the same! It's really fun and nice when you can not meet someone for so long, yet click exactly from where we left off since we last met.
Sigh, this kind of people. You only meet about a handful in your life. I've met my handful. :)
After lunch (for once today, it truly felt like an hour), Clara offered to walk me back to office since she needed to go "ABC Shop".
When I heard, I was like: "WHAT shop???"
"ABC."
Hahaha, I stifle a giggle. I worked so long here, and I didn't know bout this shop.
(And then I realised it's a sundry shop, selling everything. Like A-Z) haha!
On the way, we passed by Bata. (I know the Buy And Throw Away joke, so don't even start)
I saw this amazingggggggggggg looking pair of wedge which I absolutely had to get. Went in, tried it. Went to the mirror for reassurance and: "Hello, new piece. Size 6 pls".
Clara's shopping hormones started to rage too, trying on pieces of footwear. And one of the pairs she tried, I was like: "Hmmm, you look like you have one of this design already."
Then she roared in laughter:"Look at the other leg, goon!"
Ooops. :/
Anyway, she couldn't resist the array of temptation too, and got 1 pair. (Which I like too!)
I might return for the pink one, she bought the yellow.
Anyway, it's true I've been feeling kinda low for the past couple of days. It was really building up from so many many ways. School, work, people.
But no worries yea! Everything's good now.
And I can't be happier having all the people around me! It's very reassuring each time such shit happens. :)
Oh yah! Clara! The entry on 16 Oct when I said : "Thursday's lunch is gonna be fine, Gina. Trust me.". That wasn't referring to you yea? We only made plans yesterday! So don't get me wrong.
And him! I love him loads. He sent me to work and gave me a breakfast goody bag.
In it, I found a baby-sized packet Milo and crackers with La Vache Qui Rit cheese spread. All nicely wrapped. Hahaha. He very cute la.
Monday come quick! I wanna be in your company..
LIFE
9:57 PM
Al's hamster gave birth (don't ask me if that's Ham or Cheese), I have absolutely no clue.
There are 6 freaking small pink things underneath the Queen Bee now, each (I quote Jack - with sockets for eyes since it hasn't been opened)
Eeeeew.
Jack was the only one home then, and trust me. She called my mobile and I thought something at home caught fire.
She said (and many say) the dads are pervs, cos he eats his babies. So when I got home, I only saw 1 critter.
Apparently, Al's girlfriend took the Dad back to prevent a tragedy.
CAN YOU IMAGINE!! Hahaha, if she took the Mum back??! Oh my god, I would so laugh in her face. Hahaha!
Anyway, below is a video, with compliments from Jack and her (lousy) VGA camera and live commentary.
Yes, It's blur but the thought of it being crystal clear just makes my hair stand. (not much hair in the 1st place. Haha)
Enjoy the works of Mother Nature the way it brings new life through this thing called the birthing process, salute to all NEW mummies!
Ham! Cheese! Whoever!
P/s I still hate these rodents.
All 6 feeding on the Mum.
Still feeding on the Mum. Ouch, must be sore.
Ham-lets?
or Cheese-lets??
Okay, I better stop relating to stuff I put in my mouth. Dinner is coming out.
Indifferent
6:35 AM
I need some endorphins.
Case of the Ex
Tuesday, October 16 11:32 PM
I'm almost done for The Time Traveller's Wife.
Hmm, I'm at the part where nothing is rosy or sweet or endearing.
At this point, I think somehow they shouldn't have gotten married. Things kinda spiralled from there.
The only time I get to read these days is on the way to work in the car, and I'm trying so hard to finish this book so I can get started on mugging for my Law test up in 2 weeks. (More like to start on PS I Love You).
It's mid week again. Hardly feels like it.
I was just telling Analyn today: "The work that's piling me is stressing me big time. Please cover my duties if I happen to time travel cos I might never return." (Henry always time travels when he is nervous/headache-y/nauseous/watching TV)
Hahaha. Come to think of it, it's quite sad to time travel actually, cannot watch TV.
Thursday's lunch is gonna be fine, Gina. Trust me.
On a random note, I need a best friend. Not just for making our way round town, but sometimes just to hear me speak.
Hugs-
Monday Shopping
Monday, October 15 11:20 PM
Okay, okay. It's gonna be midnight. Let me make this quick.
Overslept first thing in the morning. I swore I snoozed it to 6.10am. I woke up to randomly check that I was 'on schedule' and to my horror, I saw 6.33am.
Not funny, cos neither Al nor Mum woke me.
Wasn't too late at least, all I did was just to forsake my TV time.
The next couple of hours were work, work, work. It's like a mad rush having to clear stuff for my long leave next week.
Somehow people never seem to be around whenI need to clear with them. Haha
Anyway, fun only begins after office hours, cos I've made plans to head down to TM and do some long overdue shopping.
You'll never believe it. Okay, I think knowing me, you will.
I blew $200 in say, 2 hours?
Since the beginning of this semester, Fridays never was a 'Late-night-shopping' night for me anymore, just ask Clara when I last saw her on Friday for a good ol' session at FEP.
Fridays have become to me, 'Human-Resource-Economics-night' instead.
I've been relegated to shop on a Monday night now. Quite sickening.
Plus I received my new online purchase in the mail! :)
Yay, lotsa new stuff to wear.
6 more days!
Watches!
Thursday, October 11 11:42 PM
Got a little surprise at work today! It sat on my table in the form of a red little box!
It tastes sooooooooooo good by the way.
Dear got me the catalogue for Swatch Fall-Winter Collection 07.
And OH-MY-GOD, I love so many so many watches in there! SO MANY!
I'll take you through some of them..
Gold is nice. especially when it looks nothing like a watch, more like a bangle of sorts.
Baby G? Nope, but since I've been wanting to replace my Baby -G!
This can come in handy.
(Although we all know I'm no longer baby)
I like the last one! For obvious reasons!
So colourful! I'll buy one for every day if I'm rich enough!
Like Mood Watches.
This could be my feel-pretty-mood watch!
The rhinestones, sooooo pretty and pink!
And last, we have the dress watch.
Good for formal wear and meeting days!
There are at least 300 more watches in there that I WANT!
I'm finally DONE with my assignment. God, I can't wait to hand it up tomorrow.
It has cost me nights of sleep (or the lack of it!)
I want to sleep well this weekend.
Au Revoire Motivation!
=10 more days=
TGIF!
DAMN random
Tuesday, October 9 7:50 PM
Pink M&Ms!
I Miss Bangkok.
12 more days.
That's my McDonald's!
Monday, October 8 10:40 PM
He came this morning and picked me.
Cruising along, there was a jam at ECP. I looked at my new Fossil watch which he just brought it to the shop on Sunday to have the metal chain-strap shortened.
7.50am. That's not too late. I can afford to spend the next 15 mins in the jam. I really don't mind cos I have my book.
Then, he says he has a plan, to get me to work on time.
I heard him, cos my eyes by then were fixated on Henry and Clare.
He then entered ECP (while I wondered what he was up to) and I saw the big cheery sign of McDonald's drive thru.
Before I know, Sausage McMuffin and Iced Milo in a brown takeaway bag is on my lap.
"Stash those silly digestives. This is soul food." He said.
Once we hit the ECP, the jam was gone and traffic was clear.
You see, the power of McDonald's.
Well, the morale is, really...
Don't ever skip breakfast!
Okay, jokes aside. I need to appreciate this boy more sometimes!
Love!
Time Travelling
Sunday, October 7 8:21 PM
Saturday:
Caught Lust, Caution at Great World yesterday. Tony Leung is very sad, in a very charismatic way. I don't know how he does it, but apparently it's the look that made a lot of ladies swoon. Guys, start acting sad. And no, that's quite different from being pathetic. Did some shopping in a horrid way. Only boyfriend knows what he did to me. Hmmpf. Bought 2 tops anyway, so I'm not complaining.
Slowly, I'm building up. I want to replace my entire wardrobe. Nothing seems wearable these days and there seems to be no more room for additions. So, some stuff definitely has to go. If you are interested in hand-me-downs that (many of it) still has tag intact, do drop me a line. :)
Sunday:
Woke up at 10am, went for breakfast with Dear. Had timsum which I hadn't woken up early enough to enjoy in a while. Paid some bills at OCBC and headed back. Drew a timeline to adhere for today. And in case, you're wondering:
1-3pm Read The Time Traveller's Wife 3-5pm Nap 5-7pm Dinner (or for buffer if I oversleep) 7pm Continue on assignment. (Includes finishing draft, references and exec summary)
So far, I've done all and halfway through the assignment. I'm so proud that I managed to haul myself out of dreamland when the alarm rang at 5pm, although I was sooo sooo tired. (having woke up at 10am on a Sunday, when I went to sleep only at 2am this morning)
Chatted really long with Jas Soh. It's really nice to talk to someone who understands once in a while. Keep me updated on things your end yea? :)
Anyway, the book is fantastic! It's so refreshing cos of the time shuttling factor in it. As much I hope to finish it in one breath, I am silently hoping the story never ends. (Like y'know somehow the book will just keep getting thicker) Haha
There is a short excerpt in the book which I found quite sad.
(Henry is 36, Clare is 12)
"Henry?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you married?"
"Yes" I admit reluctantly.
"To who?"
"A very beautiful, patient, talented, smart woman."
Her face falls. "Oh"
"How did you meet your wife?"
"Sorry. Top secret information." I took her rook with my Queen.
Clare makes a face. "Were you time travelling? When you met her?"
"Is your wife a time traveller too?"
"Nope. Thank God."
"Why 'Thank God'? I think that would be fun. You could go places together."
"One time traveller per family is more than enough. It's dangerous, Clare."
"Does she worry about you?"
"Yes," I say softly. "She does." I wonder what Clare is doing now, in 1999. Maybe she's still asleep. Maybe she won't know I'm gone.
"Do you love her?"
"Very much," I whisper. We lie silently side by side, watching the swaying trees, the birds, the sky. I hear a muffled sniffling noise and glancing at Clare, I am astonished to see that tears are streaming across her face towards her ears.
I sit up and lean over her. "What's wrong, Clare?"
She just shakes her head back and forth and presses her lips together.
I smooth her hair, and pull her into a sitting position, wrap my arms around her. She's a child, and then again, she isn't. "What's wrong?"
It comes out so quietly that I have to ask her to repeat it: "It's just that I thought maybe you were married to me."
-The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger-
Awwww. Don't you want to be the Time Traveller's Wife too?? Even with the travelling aspect. I don't mind. How sweet is that? (But I'd hate to be Henry though, so tiring)
The movie is slated to be out in 2008, by the way. With Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. (Believe me when I say I knew it'd be her) Check it out here!
Okie. -snaps- Back to reality and the assignment.
That's for Sunday.
I can't wait for 22 Oct. 14 more days!
Much Love, Mrs Henry DeTamble
An innocent trip to TIMES
Thursday, October 4 10:28 PM
Gina: Come, hold my carrot juice. Let me pop by TIMES for a quick look.
Analyn: Okay.
Gina: Wah, look. 3-for-2 offer! -scans- But there's nothing I want here.
Analyn: Your trashy novels are here! But not 3 for 2. Are they still giving keychains anyway?
Gina: -scans- Doubt it.
Analyn: -slurps fruit juice (hope not mine by mistake) -
Gina: You know, I'm thinking of getting books, again.
Analyn: I know.
Gina: Ooops. Too obvious?
Analyn: The fact that you're thinking of buying? Or that you don't know which ones to get?
Gina: -thinks silently for a second- Okay, maybe I'll just take 1.
Analyn: But chances you are gonna finish it by Saturday.
Gina: Damn, maybe I should just get 2 then.
Analyn: -wonders around - Oh, look! This (The TIME Traveller's Wife) is the book Bern was talking about.
Gina: -grabs it at and reads for 3 seconds- OH NO!
Analyn: What?!
Gina: Looks good! Now, I want to get this too!
Analyn: - _ -"
Gina: Okay, maybe I'll get this instead. Let me hurry pay before I change my mind again.
While walking out of TIMES....
Gina: Wait, wait. See here for a while. We missed this rack.
Analyn: Okay.
Gina: OH NO!!! I should have gotten this (PS I Love You) instead. Was looking for it just now and couldn't find it! Arghhh! And it's cheaper!! Can I change??
Analyn: HAHAHAHA
Gina: Never mind, I'll get that next week. Remind me not to step in till then.
Analyn: Noted.
That's how a simple walk back from lunch, I splurged AGAIN, on a book. 5th book this month. Not good.
Bought The TIME Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (what a mouthful) in the end. Heard it's damn good. You might wanna catch the extract here.
I shall return to get PS I Love You by Cecilia Ahern next week. It's going to made into movie, and US is expecting to screen in Dec.
Maybe, we'll wait till 08.
But, I promise. I will be back to get it! (At this rate, I'm gonna blow more on books than clothes this month)
All this geek talk and I never once mentioned my assignment is due next Friday and I've yet to start.
