Baby Talk
Thursday, November 29 9:09 PM
This entry is all about BABIES.
It is entirely out of total randomness. Don't say you weren't warned.
First up, Baby Jaivyn!
There's Ally beside him.
Baby is starting his soft diet soon.
Come, show me some teeth!

Last picture until he gets his next dose of milk.
Bored while working from home on Monday...
My bro's hamsters gave birth AGAIN!
I don't know who she mated with this time, but it's likely incestuous!
The mother hamster.
I hope she doesn't tear the limb off another baby.
She popped out 6 critters by the way, and there was already 6 babies to begin with the last round!

I have 14 hamsters ( 6 + 6 + 2 parents) in totality now. YUCK!
I just need them to transform into monsters overnight, and by default, we would already be outnumbered.
Thank goodness, Al has promised to give SOME away.
Just give ALL away, dammit.
On the other hand, I'm their baby! Their first born, in fact!
This was probably taken during their recent trip to Hong Kong or was it China..?

HOT DOG!

Anyway, TGIF!
Whadyya wanna eaaat

Went to catch Fred Clause with dear earlier just now.For a holiday movie, it kinda sucked. I'm not exactly a fan of Vince Vaughn, so yah. And we were just trying to avoid Enchanted cos that's planned for Saturday so we were just randomly choosing something to watch. It was between this and .. Bee movie?Headed to Ramen Ten for dinnner. Ramen for 2 consecutive days, I'm staying away from the noodle for a while. HahaaMummy ordered a top from Spain for me. 3 weeks till it reaches our sunny shores! I need to shop, badly. ONLINE. Nights, Love.
Back, Finally!
Monday, November 26 11:08 AM
SO SO SO sleeepy!
I woke up at 4am (having slept at 1am this morning) to get ready to pick boyfriend up from the airport.
He's finally back in sunny Singapore after 8 days in Rome. Yes, he got to visit the Vatican and the colosseum and even got to meet the Pope.
Lotsa pictures he showed me, makes me wanna go on a holiday soon again.
Jack is Hong Kong-bound on the 12th, to celebrate the end of her As. Yays. Buy me stuff.
Jane is back! Girl, you need to hurry arrange a dinner or something for all of us else I'm starting to already forget how you look like.
Haha
And of all things, her party theme is pink? I don't have anything that is pink for the theme, much less to lend you Clara!
(I can hear Clara in the background saying : Liar!)
Anyway, that isn't till at least 2 weeks from now? Oh crap, my exams are in 2 weeks.
As I am studying for my OTB right now, my eyelids are getting heavier and heavier and heavier.
I'm gonna take a nap.
And, very sad news, the bodies of the 5 dragonboat racers have been recovered as the waves washed them up the shores.
Life, how vulnerable.

Will someone get me these loveliesss for Xmas?
Rudd wins by a landslide

Labor party sweeps to power in Australian election landslide - Channel Newsasia, 24 November 07
With Kevin Rudd now in reign, will they oppose the Work Choices Act 2006???
Catch ya later, Howard.
6:39pm
6:11 PM
Yes, it's a Saturday and I'm at home at 6.15pm.Notwithstanding the fact that Boyfriend is now in Rome, I have a project submission by tonight. Yes, that's how sucky the world can get. I desperately wanna catch Enchanted, but I'll have to wait till next weekend when all the projects are submitted for good. (I hope)I have got 2 submissions this coming Friday, and 2 weeks after that, exams ensue. 3 papers each, for 11th, 13th and 15th. So, please no shopping trips (Clara!) or window shopping trips (Clara!) until the 16th, cos I got chalet on 15th! Yays! Haha, that's like an immediate celebration cos exams end at noon and I'll probably check in at 2pm.I reallly realllly hope I don't have to remodule, I'm not even asking for my HDs this time. Moving on, I'm on leave on Monday! And the only good thing about this is.... oh. I can't think of any.First, I'll have to bring my ass to the airport at 6.45am which means I'll be up earlier than normal. Next, I'll be slogging that same fat ass for the assignments. Only consolation is that I get to miss the morning jam. According to my random observation, monday mornings down TPE should be quite clear. Oh yes, here's something funny to laugh about.
I received this brochure a couple of days back from a company(which I shall not name) that sells eletrical appliances from TVs to cameras and Mp3. What caught my attention was the price. They were all slashed up to 60%, and a iPod Nano 8Gb only costs $139! Being a die-also-will-not-miss-a-sale-like-this person, I told Analyn bout it, to which she exclaimed (excitedly) that she got the brochure too.She has been saving for a dryer the whole year, and this place is selling at $100++. Save what?I decided to hop down with mum this weekend. Analyn was faster, she went down that very evening. The next morning, what she told me became the joke of the day.She went there, partly also to look at the cameras. This girl here wants a 12 mega pix, to why I have totally no clue. Snap the pores on the face, or study the moon. Either one. When she got there, the price tag showed $699 which on the brochure was nicely slashed out, and replaced by the 60% off price. When she queried, they said that she had to correctly guess the 1st number of the 1st prize for the 4D draw the coming Wednesday before she can purchase the item at 60% off. Doesn't it sound so weird to you?? At least for me, I haven't heard of anything like that in my 21 years. When I started to break into a fit of laughs, Analyn looks at me and says in her most serious tone:' No really, it's indicated on the brochure in fine print, I think we both missed it.'She wasted her trip, but I was adamant to dig out the brochure to see for myself. I finally found it last night and upon close scrutiny, I saw. *Simply guess the first number of the 1st prize for 4D draw (Wednesday) and stand to win 60% refund via (name of company) vouchers!'Hilariosity!
Sleep? What's that?
Wednesday, November 21 11:14 PM
God, I'm so tired. There are 3 assignment deadlines within a span of a week. Mugged for Law test which ended on Sunday, and I haven't even mentioned the impending doom. Exams. I'm really very tired, haven't had a good night for 2 weeks now. I dream of Law and Econs night after night.Anyway, go check out my sis' blog, it's damn funny I think. In case you were wondering why she sounds so happy. Give me 5 months to party away after 22nd, I'll be laughing like a lark too. 4 down, 4 days more to go.I miss his voice.
Shopping Spree!
Monday, November 19 7:45 PM
Boyfriend left on Sunday morning 1am on his 8 day trip to Viva La Italia. Sigh, I swear I wanted to pack myself into his carrier. Bring me there too!According to Ally, this year's snow is early, so it's damn cold there now, and also confirmed by him when he touched down at 8pm last night, after 19 hours of long haul flight.Had my Law test on Sunday morning and not wanting to waste the day away, since the paper ended at 10am. I asked Mum to meet me at City Hall at 11am to go shopping. Can you imagine? Haha, at 11am on a bright Sunday morning, we were already in our most comfortable shoes, ready to hit town.Actually, correction. My shoe was anything but comfortable. I was wearing this SUPER high wedges I bought with Clara the other time. My legs nearly broke into 2 when I reached home last night. There was sale, sale and more sale. Su See said the light-up was up, but I really didn't notice. Maybe the X'mas mood hasn't hit me yet, and it probably won't.At least not till my exams and projects are over. Hurry 15th come!I bought tonnes of clothes yesterday with mum, dresses, tops, underwear, shoes, blah.. I'm close to broke.
I lurve this dress, cos I can wear this to work and decent enough for the Dec wedding dinner after work. You can't really tell, but it's striped.
Vertical, of cos.
Haha.
.jpg)
I like this shirt too! But guess what!
They didn't have my size in blue! This is like 1 size bigger!
This fitting room, plastered a ginormous Silkpro sticker on it, it blocked half the mirror. Definitely not my idea of maximising space here. Haha
Mum and Dad celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on Sat.
22 long years man! WOW.
Jacq and I shared and bought them a coffee maker. Don't snigger k, I think it's the most practical gift ever, that only 2 of them will use since no one else drinks coffee.
Haha.
Jacq went and got her extensions... for a GOOD 48 hours!
She couldn't take the chemically treated smell and ripped me off 70 bucks, remember I had to sponsor half.
SIGH. I could have gotten another dress with that. :(
Okay, now I got work to do.
Econs, Law, Organizational Theory. You name it, I probably haven't done it.
Ciao guys. Jane is coming back soon!
Yays!
Frightening
Thursday, November 15 11:55 PM
A commotion broke out at Tampines Mall today. This Indian national (doesn't look local) stood in the middle of McDonald's at Tampines Mall and started yelling and swinging a metal pole.Upon closer (but not that close to risk my life), I realised it's the stand where those cleaner ladies use to compress all the trash in the dustbin, to like, flatten it?Yah, so there he was. Yelling. Boyfriend and I moved on to Dockers (which was quite nearby) and counted on his insanity that he'll still be there by the time we came back. When we got back, he was gone. The crowd resumed at McDonald's. Was he apprehended? Was he subdued? Nobody seemed to know. Did anyone call the cops?My worst fear was that being typical Singaporeans, everyone just stood there to watch the drama and conveniently forgot to alert the authorities. He could well be dangerous, swinging that huge metal compressor. But since all seems well, we went ahead and around looking for Boyfriend's stuff for his Italy worktrip this Sat.During our last round at TM, I saw the Indian fella again! This time, he was holding on to the big circular lid of a dustbin and shoving his way down the escalator and pushing people as he ran down.He definitely hurt some people as he made his way down.
I saw how he pushed his way through the crowd. AHHHH! Why was he let free?? Why did no one called the police when he caused a scene at Mac??And from there, he ran. With the huge metal lid in his hand, I'm pretty sure he is dangerous. He seemed to be looking for something, although I'm not quite sure what.On hindsight, a part of me felt sorry for him actually. Especially when he was waving the pole inside Mac and as he stared out as us, who were staring back at him, fearing what he might do next.I saw that look on his face. What was he thinking? Guess he was afraid too. Maybe he lost something? He definitely does not look local so you can imagine his frustration. Maybe something happened back home, and he doesn't know how to seek help?I don't know. He needs help.I just hope he doesn't hurt anyone.
Summary!
Wednesday, November 14 11:34 PM
Summary!Met Clara yesterday for lunch. This girl had her Linkin Park concert in the evening and didn't mind joining me for lunch nearby. How nice, guess what was her agenda for the rest of the day?To start queue-ing for the concert! It's not like she don't have tickets (She has the $150 one, mind you!) She just wants a superb seat. Hahaha, It's lucky I wasn't born with concert hormones. They make you broke and cooked. (she was under the sun the whole time)I hope the concert was great, anyway! Her hair was cute! A bit 'bended' though, but it was so funny hear her talk about not being able to meddle with her hair. She makes it sound like part of the 60 trial and tribulation, or an ordeal. HahahaStill, I think she looks nice. Your new hair goes sooooooo well with a skirt! We trotted down to Funan after lunch (Oh, we had Sakura btw) and I started buying nail polish and Clara got some hair stuff. Hahaa, my nails look so nice now, it's in a Barbie shade of pink. I like this brand, and how it gels nicely to your finger so it doesn't smudge. I'm gonna get morrrrrrrrrre! :)Headed to class after work and was pleasantly surprised by my individual assignment. I got 80%!! I was really worried for this and it didn't turn out too bad. And one of my groupmate even got 10%, I must be really lucky.Presentation for OTB up, we had fun during the session. Wasn't too intimidating like we thought.Who knew Steve Jobs was CEO for both Apple and Pixar?Fine, Smarty Pants. I didn't. Ok??Today was crazy. Bad weather and as we drove, ECP was super jammed. Accident really was the last thing we needed. Only reached office at 9am.
(That's half an hour late)But so was everyone! Su See came in after 9 too, and she lives in Tampines. Think her hubby had a bad time at ECP too! HahahBy lunch, the weather calmed down. Well enough for us to trek to Adelphi to have lunch at Tony's.Yummmm.Received my presentation grades for yesterday too. 80%! Yay. Happier by the second! Keep this going, and I can smel my next distinction! :)Went for class and left shortly at half time. Couldn't take it, it was dead dry, Ad kept getting interrupted by people asking silly questions.I mean, it's not stupid, but will they quit challenging law that was established like donkey years ago?Just accept it, and move on guys!Man, we got stuck on 1 case from 7.15 - 8.45, and our agenda was to complete the lecture. So I left.Dear came to pick me up at Eunos and we drove to Siglap to meet Theodore for late dinner at HK Cafe.Theo ordered SOOO MUCH food, Dear and I were so stuffed! The bill came up to 51. That's for snacks! Hahaha, just imagine the load of stuff we had on our table. In a way, it was fun to just chat work, which may sound weird to think, but when all 3 who work in the service comes together to blabber, it's hilarious!Hahaha, funny. Especially the Cisco belt. Night ended, took our own cars and drove home. I reached home close to 11.30? And Jacq's feeling uber down cos her friend stained her favourite dress after borrowing it. Shit like that happens, and she's trying to get the stain off, which by my expert eyes know it's impossible.Does anyone know if there's any Surf Bay in Singapore? Let me know! If there is, there still might be hope of finding her dress.3 more days till dear flies. Checked the weather and it's freaking cold!
Max 6 degree Cels, and min 2 degree Cels on Sat when he departs. On Sunday, when he arrives, Bologna will probably be freezing. Max 12 degree Cels and min -1 degree Cels.Yikes, I'll so die in cold weather.I'll rather be hot and sticky anyday. Cold makes me weak.Man, it's already 12.17am. Nights!!
Home Sweet Home
Monday, November 12 10:38 PM
Boyfriend and I went to his friends' place after dinner today. His friends' house was very very very far away, we drove till it almost felt like we were already in Malaysia.
(It's near Cashew Road by the way.)Anyway, these 2 friends of his, are the ones who recently got married on Friday! (Congrats!)
Their new house is really huge and spacious, and to top it off the deal, it's on the 22nd floor (and oversees Fajar Secondary.)
HahaLooking at the newly weds, we kinda wished we had our own little house too. Let's just pray the propertly market crashes big time soon. All else remaining the same. Just the properties, take a back seat, will ya?Haha:) 5 days till Dear flies to Italia.
Sunday chatter
Sunday, November 11 10:37 PM
During one of the conversations this afternoon.
Jacq: I was watching this channel on cable, and they taught people that by massaging your fingers, you boobs will become bigger.
Me: Hah! Serious??
Jacq: YAH! You know what, I tried that day, and it really feels bigger! OMG, the thing is that they didn't teach us how to reverse it.
Me: Hahahah! No way am I gonna let anyone touch my pinky again!
You guys can go try and let me know if it really works yea?
Anyway, my lil sis' A levels are ending this 22nd and I'm determined to hit the towns with her once she crosses this hurdle.
It's been a long while since we did our shopping trips, plus it's a good time since we can stock up for Xmas and CNY.
Yays.
Can't wait.
On the other hand, I'm here worrying for my own exams, coming right up in early Dec.
Ironic, but yes.
This semester has been a total wreck for me, the subjects are so not gina-friendly, with tonnes of calculations (Human Resource Economics) & cases, cases and more cases (Workplace Law).
And not forgetting Organizational Theory and Behaviour, these combo is surely fatal.
What I want this semester is really to pass them all and I'll be as happy as a lark.
I so need to work out my schedule for studying within this week. And it really doesn't help that my folks at home are trynna rope me in for a short holiday next Saturday.
(They always go on trip impromptu! No forewarning!)
Should I or should I not?
On one hand, it's a really good time really cos he'll be away and I could really use this short weekend to spend with my family.
But on the other hand, this time could be made to facilitate my studying.
Only problem here is that ideally, I would be using this time to study.
But what if I don't? Then I would so be wasting my chance for a short getaway with my folks.
Hmmmm, let me think. Let me think.
Till another time, you kids need to be in school and work tomorrow. It's already 10.47pm.
Run along!
XoXo
STARDUST
2:09 AM
The most romantic movie of the year goes to.............- drum rolls-
STARDUST!
Man, this movie is damn good, damn good. The past couple of movies haven't been bad to speak of, but if you have just the last 10 bucks in your wallet, you HAVE to catch this!
I don't even care for now, what are the coming X'mas' blockbusters.
Stardust is my current favourite movie after My Best Friend's Wedding, so much so that I'm gonna get the OST by hook or by crook. :)
Claire Danes makes a Star look so good and gorgeous, all the kindergarten kids are gonna put 'STAR' under 'What do you want to be when you grow up?'
The cast is kinda star studded with people like Robert De Niro (He's hilarious!), Michelle Pfeiffer, Sienna Miller, Claire Danes and Charlie Cox (He's damn hot!).
Think I'm gonna go on and on about this movie for a while. I'll just leave you with some quotes from the movie while I get some due rest.
(It's now 2.22am!)
Yvaine: What do stars do? They shine.
Voice of the stars: [To Tristan while he's sleeping]
Tristan. Tristan. Yvaine is in grave danger.
A unicorn came to help her, but now they're heading into a trap.
No star is safe in Stormhold.
The last one fell 400 years ago and was captured by the same witches who seek Yvaine now.
They tricked her, cared for her, and when her heart was once more aglow they cut it from her chest and ate it.
There's no time to waste. A coach is coming.
By any means possible you must get on it. Run!
Yvaine: You know when I said I knew little about love?
That wasn't true. I know a lot about love.
I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable.
All those wars. Pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again.
But when I see the way that mankind loves...
You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional.
But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and...
What I'm trying to say, Tristan is... I think I love you.
Is this love, Tristan? I never imagined I'd know it for myself.
My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it.
Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you.
And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no fits. No goods.
No demonstrations of devotion.
Nothing but knowing you loved me too.
Just your heart, in exchange for mine
Nights all!
Term Break - Friday Night
Saturday, November 10 10:39 AM
Met the girls on a Friday night out. We had tonnes of fun.
The evening started kinda sluggish, everyone was so s-l-o-w and as I expected!
All were famished! Hahaha
So we went to get our tummies filled (LJS, as usual) and afterwhich, the shopping spree ensued.
After we shopped, here's the damages:
Mel: 1 teddybear bag + pouch and 1 cardi
Clara: 1 teddybear bag + pouch and 1 $150 standing ticket for Linkin Park's Concert
Me: 3 dresses and 1 cardi
CLARA is the grand winner this time. -CLAPS-
Hahahah!
After we left Far East, we wanted to just grab a seat, my toes were splitting into 2 and Clara and Melissa were just nonstop on hair stuff.
Even when I was in the fitting room.
It lasted that long, so I decided they should just seat down and talk about it while I quench my thirst and refresh the blood vessels (if any left) on my feet.
Clara DIDN'T get to rebond her hair before meeting us yesterday, she conveniently overslept. Sheesh, I was hoping to see!
hahaha, but it's okay cos she's getting it done today!
Mel and I are hoping hers turn out great so we can plan our next move.
Hahah
While at the fitting room at Far East, Mel helped Clara to tie her hair into these 2 bundles, which she liked it so much we taught her how to replicate it on her own.
Can I say that Clara is hopeless with rubber bands? Haha
But she got it nonetheless.
OH yah! And you know what? Half way through at Starbucks, this weird lady came up to take a picture with us.
Haha, I was stunned for a second, like Huh? Take for you? Take WITH you???
Haha, in the end, we reckoned it's a dare by her group and we deleted the picture shortly after.
What only.
"See! I also look like xiaomeimei!"
The grand masterpiece of Mel, the springroll maker.
Raspberry-Black Currant, Green Tea Latte, Mango Passion Fruit.
Like traffic lights.
Mel looks so patronising here. Haha
Cam-whores
It's nice to know we can meet after 3 months and know where to continue.
Happy Deepavali
Thursday, November 8 10:12 PM
First, I almost forgot I got a couple of club passes and drinks vouchers from the credit card I got a while back.

Since I don't visit clubs so frequently anymore, let me know if anyone wants them. I'll just send them to you or something.
The only drawback is that you gotta have a Citibank card. Easy? So just tag and it's yours.Next, Happy Deepavali.
I spent the whole day studying at home, with a short dinner out with Boyfriend.
And I'm back within 2 hours again.
Yay, am meeting Clara tomorrow for a good ol' session of shopping.
She's gonna rebond her hair, I can't wait to see it!
Speaking of which, I'm getting this little tinkling vibe to soft straighten my hair too.
I happen to come across at Kimage that they do soft straightening and rebonding when I recently went to get some colour on.
Hmmm, but to think about it again, my curls are rather new (I only got them in May), and that so many hair jobs may potentially ruin my tresses.
Let's see how Clara's turn out, before I decide again.
Too many reservations now.
I might just be in time for Chinese New Year.
On the topic of hair too, omg, I love Angie's new hair.
Extensions are all the hype in town now, and while some look horrificly wrong, I must give props for Angie.
It's really a job well done, plus a buck per strand is earth shattering cheap.
Jack is seriously considering it herself too.
I think we can see Jack in long flowing locks after her A's at the end of this month.
Jane's coming back soon!
Coincidentally, the week she returns, Boyfriend's in Italy.
I was so afraid that week's gonna drag by!
Haha, with Jane back, we can yak until the cows goes home just like last time!
Except no car for that week.
Heh
I bet half of Singapore took leave tomorrow to enjoy the long holiday.
Boyfriend is one of them, as he will be gracing a wedding dinner as one of the Brothers and the emcee for the night.
Makes me think of Ally's wedding last year.
(My god, it's already been a year!)
Anyways, there's always the shopping trip to look forward to.
Catch ya tomorrow, Clara!
Loadsa love, hugs and kisses.
Tuesday, November 6 9:40 PM
On course today at CSC.
As usual, I'm gonna gripe about how far that place is.Buona Vista!
No joke.
Even when he drops me off at Lavender, the rest of the journey is equally painful cos I can't believe I don't get a seat from Lavender till Buona Vista.
Anyway, there were loads of MOE people at the course, making up the majority of the class with a couple of lone rangers (like me) from Prisons, Home Team and PSD.I got a shock when MOE told me their HR consists of approx 160 people.W.o.w.And all we got is 6?But again, in all fairness, their staff headcount's like 28k.Okay, now I feel slightly better. HahaaAnyway, lesson ended on time today so I headed down to Dear's office for the car. Headed to Katong for dinner and went to check out a unit at Tampines. On the way home past a handphone shop, I saw the Samsung F200!
It has finally hit our shores!! Retailing at just $318 w/o contract.
If you recall, the Samsung F200 is VERY VERY similar to this other Samsung phone model I posted earlier.
I'm on some handphone spree again, like the time of the year when I need to get a new mobile.
Got my eyes laid on a particular Sony Ericsson, but I'll let you guys know when I do actually get it. Hahaa
Nonetheless, the F200 is quite cute, if I'm not wrong, it doubles up as a Mp3/4. Cool thing to own for Xmas this year if you have the dough.
I'm saving mine for something else. Hahaha
Another day of course tomorrow, and come Thursday, *screams* It's Deepavali!
Yay, PH! PH! PH!
Before we know again, it'll be the Christmas PH too, and New Year's Eve coming right up.
Now it's getting creepily fast.
Boyfriend has been assigned on a working trip to Italy from 17th to 26th this month.
I'm so jealous!
A week of total decadent gourmet, he can totally get drowned in cheese.
If only I could tag along.
I'd like to visit the Pope too. :)
Oh yes, remember my brother's hamsters? Ham & Cheese and their flock of babies?
One died a while back cos the psychotic mum killed it, somehow. (At least I'm convinced)
Shortly after, when she was trying to pull another baby out, she yanked too hard and its foot came off!
It's now 3 legged only, can't you believe it!
It's damn heart wrenching even on a rodent, to see this.
It limps, while its siblings scamper.
And for this reason (or another which is not known), the mum has completely stopped feeding this one.
While the rest suckles on her, this one is sorta ousted in one corner and my sis gotta act as the psuedo mum and feed it some sort of glucose water.
Just that day, we were all there looking at the cage. And this was the conversation that followed:
Jacq: I think we should name this one (the crippled hamster), cos it's the most easy to recognise and that it's so special.
Al: Yah, I think so.
Jacq: Let's just name it - LAME.
Me: Hahahaha!
Jacq: Oh no, wait. I got something better. TIE GUAI LI.
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHHAH!
Al: -does a mental count-Oh yah, there are 8 in total with the father hamster and mummy hamster.
Jacq: Okay, they will be the BA XIAN.
Me: -still laughing-
Al: -______________-" (the duh face)
I really think it's very very funny man. Everyone whom I told, laughed too. Hahaha
Big Fat Hairy deal
Sunday, November 4 11:01 PM
Yay! I trimmed my hair (almost had an urge to snip it all off) and I coloured a full head. It's now reddish brown, I think it's quite nice although the hairdresser kinda fucked up my fringe.Oh wells, that made me 180 poorer.I need a second job.
Dear turns 1 year older
1:15 PM
Yes, the much dreaded econs test is over.
(It was a suicide, by the way).
The rest of the week, I had been extremely busy. Here's a peep into what I've been up to!
Dinner & Dance 07
We were granted half day because of the responsibilities we had on that very day. I was assigned usher along with a couple of others.
Analyn and I left office at lunch and headed back before meeting again at Central for our extreme makeover.
Haha
It was really extreme, cos I look DIFFERENT.
What I have with me are just some shots from my phone, I'll post the rest up once Eunice sends them to me aight.
Analyn and I - Table 13

This was dessert, very nice. Tang Yuan in red bean, my favourite!

I meant to capture the stage, not Jamie eating.

Harsha & I

My noisy sidekick at work!

The number of bobby pins the stylist stuck onto my head, and some onto my scalp! OUCH!

The rose corsage which all comm members have to pin on them.
My subsidy to a new mango top!
Anyways, the stylist did for me the chignon sorta bun.
Coupled with a full makeup, sleek high heels and black dress, I felt kinda pretty. :)
Anyway, everyone came really glammed up (our theme was IR), that's why.
Though I was kinda disappointed when I didn't get to see any quirky jester, like a Mahjong tile or a King of Spades.
Nonetheless, the night was fun, a little nerve wrecking getting ready before the actual arrival of the VVIP though.
Food, likewise did not disappoint.
It definitely helps that I won the lucky draw, but it's the 22nd prize. A $20 voucher from Capitaland! Yay, more clothes!
Cousin came to pick me up after the dinner, reached home before 11.
(which was quite a feat, cos most people couldn't get a cab)
Dear's Birthday
The programme went according to plan and guess where we went?
I wanted to stay out of the malls, otherwise it'd seem like any of our normal Saturdays and it wouldn't exactly be memorable.
SO I kept him in suspense up till yesterday when he picked me.
I just told him to be in comfy shoes, polo tee and berms. He initially thought I was gonna teach him to blade!Hahaa
He picked me up after my test, and we drove to Vivocity. Headed for the 3rd storey and voila!
The Sentosa Express!
Inside the Sentosa Express!
Yup, we're going to Sentosa!
I thought, since neither of us has been to Sentosa since the whole revamp plus the weather looked really encouraging plus the convenience of having the sentosa express within Vivocity itself.
How could we give it a miss?
We bought our day passes (it's $3/pax. Really worth it if you ask me)
The Sentosa Express operates on a EZ Link car kinda way, you tap your card to get in, which means visitors get to keep the card.
But because it's a day pass and the date is clearly imprinted on the card itself, visitors don't get to top up their card for a next visit.
You just buy a new one, which is totally fine by us if we were to come back.
We alighted at Imbiah Station, where all the attractions were based. In case you were wondering, they were only 2 stops - Imbiah and Beach Station.
And no prizes for guessing, Beach station brings you to Palawan Beach and the Bikini Babes.
Our first stop was Imbiah and we headed straight to Cineblast for the Extreme Log Ride! It's like those 3D simulator ride we get in Movie World.
We went down waterfalls, tunnels, flying across the sky, and wading with crocodiles.
Girls screamed, the guys cheered.
Dear had so much fun in there, hahaa. :)
The Carlsberg Sky Tower
After that, we headed back to the main area.. and proceeded to take the Luge and the Skyride.
Halfway through the queue though, the sky threatened to rain, and so we decided to opt out of the Q and make our way to Beach Station for a stroll.
The view at the beach was FANTASTIC. You don't get sand this white at ECP, trust me.
Siloso Beach
New Zealand's Natural ice cream in hand, the sun was drowned by the clouds, it wasn't too sunny, everything was soooo nice.
Walked to Songs of the Sea and saw Oscar and Co. I asked him, guess what Oscar and Co are called after they come out of the water?
Fish and Co! Hahaa, Lame, I know. He said too.
As we walked, we came across Silosa Beach Resort, it's soooo pretty! It's new hotel that's just opposite Cafe Del Mar.
Very good for people who just want to party all night and have a bed just 2 mins away after it all ends.
The reception was a glass office, which we have to trek a tree top walk to get to. Very rainforest-y feel, I like!
Checked the rates, and who knows, we would be coming here in Jan for a short getaway! Yay.
The most expensive (which was okay by our definition, compared to Swissotel) is the
Roof Garden Suite.
Listen to this. It's $380 per night and comes with a private roof top garden and a jacuzzi where you can rejuvenate and enjoy the magnificent view of the sea and the tropics being RIGHT ON TOP of the resort.
Sheltered, of course. On the way to the reception, we even came across the pool!
It has a large water feature with a natural stream waterfall, rocks and all. Looks like you're in the wilderness.
To top of the deal, they serve complimentary buffet breakfast. Yummm
SOOOO NICE!
We must go there next year!
Slowly the sun started to set, and we took a couple of photos and made our way back to Vivo.

Mr and Mrs Smith
A runner tried to take the picture for us, which turned out horrible. Sheesh!

After many 'Press & Hold!', we got this, which wasn't as bad, but not quite professional either. Haha
Dinner's up next!
Brought him to Outback Steakhouse @ Millenia Walk.
We had the Typhoon Bloom, which is like this huge huge stack of onion rings. For main course, I took Fish & Chips and Dear ordered a Sizzling Sirloin.

The Typhoon Bloom, hungry?
The portion there is HUGE, and by my 2nd piece of fish (there were 4!), I was already stuffed.
Somehow, miraculously we still managed to finish everything on our plates (it was that good), but we had no more room for dessert.
Birthday Boy!
Walked over to Marina, and I went to collect the tics for Game Plan which I booked earlier.
The movie was HILARIOUS, and the little girl is very very very cute!
Everyone should watch this! Whether or not you like The Rock.
Just watch!
And just nice, the movie ended at 11.50pm. We took a ride to ECP to humiliate the beach there.
Haha, kidding.
Happy the day turned out fine, and that he loves the Lacoste Polo I got. As usual, the girlfriend has a knack for picking out the perfect fit and colour. Hahaha
Anyway, got home around 2? Slept till 12 (2 hours ago). Going for a haircut with Mum at Kimage later, and she's gonna colour her locks.
She doesn't wanna sponsor me, else I'll gladly add some colours too.
Alright now, it's already 2.08pm. I better go get ready.
There's some spooky shit show on channel 46 at 3pm, I don't wanna miss.
And Wanting, your dad says you've been here reading! Don't think I don't know. Haaha
Tag okay!! Hope you're doing fine in school, say Hi to Mr Andrew Poh for me.
Hahaha.
Ciao all!
