It's the weekends again. I've been playing Gold Miner for the past 2 hours before watching The Hottie and The Nottie.God, the movie really puts me to sleep. Thank god, I didn't pay to watch it at the cinema. I guess Paris Hilton is only good enough for celeb tabloids. HahaGonna catch Narnia later in the evening. (yays!) I have an hour till I'm supposed to bathe and get dressed but I really want to take a nap. (Swear it must be the movie that made me all ooozy)Will be out of town for the weekend anyway. Catch you all on Tuesday!Ciao babes.
NEWater
Wednesday, May 28 9:50 PM
Guess where we went today?? Yes, the PUB NEWater Visitor Centre.
If you're familiar, it is off Tanah Merah Road. (yes, very near home!)
We headed there, a group of 14 of us, as part of the Public Service Week Learning Journeys. Chartered a bus and made our long and windy road down east.
At least, I was not complaining cos the journey there saves me the trip home later.
The whole tour lasted from 2.45 pm - 5pm odd. Analyn and I played with cameras in between. Heh

The most classic conversation of the week.
Analyn: A mosquito bit me...
Gina: What's new?
Analyn: ........through my pants.
Gina: HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA WhatthehellAnalyn???!
Analyn: Reallly! How else would it have reached so high? I am wearing pants.
Gina: Maaaaaaaaybe it just happened that the mosquito was resting on your leg when you wore your pants and since it was stuck, it just had to bite.
Analyn. Whatever.
Gina: HAHAHAHAHAHAH. Through your pants! I'm still amused!
More pictures on NEWater soon, depending on how quickly Analyn and Pauline uploads them.
Will post them soon.
Took a photo of the TV in the room using the sketch mode, while watching Channelnewsasia.
I was lying on the bed, the TV and curtain opposite. The toilet is on the right.
Just in case, you somehow lack the Van Gogh cells and can't make anything out from the sketch. Haha
Doesn't it look like its drawn by a real person?

Indiana Jones
Sunday, May 25 1:02 AM
Indiana Jones was AWESOME. I'll be honest. I haven't caught any of the previous 3 installations of this movie, so I don't have expectations. It was good really, I was impressed.
(C'mon, this is the fruit of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg! It has to be good) Except maybe the part on the UFO is a litle fetch'd. Dear ol' Harrison still looks charming at the grand old age of 65. Oh yea, I love the soundtrack too. The tune keeps ringing in my ear.
What I am more impressed with, is Cate Blanchett's role as the Russian Colonel, Irinia Spalko.Hers was a complete transformation from her usual regal look to one that is quite different. Refreshing change. She captured the role of the Russian pretty well, to me. That accent and the sullen icy look.
This is what she usually looks like. All smiley, regal and immaculate.
All in all, the movie gets 4 popcorns from me.Make your weekend a better one by heading down to catch the latest blockbuster in town. Hurry, before Narnia sets foot in cinemas too!XoXo,Nana
GSS Debut
Friday, May 23 11:33 PM
Met up with Diana after work this evening and we hit town since it was the first day of GSS!
Boy, was it crowded.
People were e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. In every seam of the wall and crack of the glass you see a person holding shopping bags. BAGS. plural.
Well, I guess there is more than 1 reason I can think of. And that one reason is that THE SALE IS REALLY GOOD!
We settled dinner at CoffeeClub and I ended the evening with 4 bras, 1 undies, 2 tank tops, 1 pair of pumps, 1 trench top. <- This is hugely gorgeous.
The pumps were at 70%, so it came mighty cheap! I was so pleased with myself. -beams-
However, the high of the night was not the purchases that I towed back from Orchard.
In fact, it was a simple sms from a very dear friend. A message this simple yet very sweet made me smile for that second.
For the next 3 seconds, I was dying to see you too.
And for the longest time ever, I missed you too Cheryl Leong! :)
AYE hate soccer matches.
Thursday, May 22 10:26 PM
It's already Friday in a coupla hours? Wow, that's fast.
Boyfriend stayed up to watch soccer at an ungodly hour of 2.30am this morning. And since it had many extra time and penalties, by the time he got home was 6am. Crikey!
And it didn't help that the lack of sleep made it difficult to drive to work this morning. I had to help check the spots and then there was irritation over slow Thursday morning drivers.
Also, we gave Indiana a miss, and headed back after work for dinner to catch up on lost sleep.
On hindside, this also means we can catch the blockbuster this weekend instead. I was just thinking we might miss Saturday movie since there are no more great flicks other than Harrison and his Crystal Skull.
Haha.
Now that he's asleep, an evil thought is running through my mind. -smirks-
In this regard, I am considering banning all late night and wee-hour morning soccer matches in my future house next time.
All those in favour, say Aye.
(I hear you!)
OH YA, David Cook won American Idol. Just in case you're interested!
BABY news!
Tuesday, May 20 8:33 PM
CONGRATS ALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
I will be seeing another baby niece/nephew in 9 months!
Goodwood Park
Sunday, May 18 11:55 PM
Long weekend huh? That only explains why I'm blogging at 11.57pm on a Sunday night. HahaIt feels like Saturday! :)Speaking of Saturday, our movie for the weekend (as you can already tell from the picture) is Made of Honour. Michelle Monaghan is hugely gorgeous! I would so wanna look like her! Mel - How was it? Hope you enjoyed it!
Y'see, Mel called me yesterday for reviews on the movie, and since I was only going to catch it, I couldn't really give any feedback.
Had to go with my gut feel, hope you weren't disappointed. :)
Anyways, I'm giving the movie 2.5 popcorns over 5.
It's not a bad movie, though very similar to a male version of My Best Friend's Wedding, not sure if anyone thought the same.
Except that Julia Roberts' role is now taken by Patrick Dempsey.
All in all, it's a fun movie, but again like Boyfriend say, I'm such a sucker for chick flicks and rom coms.
Whatttttt.
But on a honest note, if you compare this to What Happens in Vegas, I'll pick Kutcher over Dempsey.
Yea, the fun boyish type works better for me. Dempsey is too prince-like. (Note, he was also in Enchanted, but not as the prince. I wonder why)
Dinner was at Taka and afterwhich, we got a polo tee from Ralph Lauren and we were off to catch the movie. Oh yah, we bumped into Yuh Tze and her boyfriend in town too. Coincidence!
Sunday
Mum came waking me up at an ungodly hour of 10am. Have I mentioned I slept only at 3am the night before?
I was so grouchy, cos it was 10AM IN THE MORNING, and we were going for lunch at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel, reservation was for noon.
Not good.
In the end, I went back to sleep so lunch became high tea, and GMR became Goodwood Park Hotel.
Hahaha.
So 5 of us trotted down to town and we had some pretty mean timsum and high tea. I guessed it was good cos by 3pm (no thanks to me, hee), we were pretty hungry, so anything goes! :)
Left by 4.30pm and we went shopping. Tangs was first up! I suddenly realised how long have I not been to Tangs. Last time was when they launched Benefit cosmetics and that's it.
Tangs was followed by Paragon and I left shortly after to meet Boyfriend. Managed to get some lingerie and 2 cardigans from Cotton On Body.
Headed back to East where we hit the regional library for my books to start on KOL project and then to Changi Airport for dinner.
You probably think we are going airport too often. Hahah, but Popeye is so damn good.
But GUESS WHAT!
The queue was so looooooooooooong and there were no seats, so we had to give it a miss.
Still, dinner was not overly sinful and we managed to save some calories on what we would have potentially ordered at Popeye's.
It's now past midnight, so Happy Vesak day to anyone who celebrates it.
XoXo

River Island Sale
Friday, May 16 9:25 PM
River Island sale is on! Anne and I trotted down to Raffles City, with the intention of her wanting to get shoes from Robinsons.
On the way down to Coach, Kate Spade and Agnes B, I have set my eyes on this Kate Spade bag now! 400 quids. Mid year bonus and I'm so there at the shop! Anyway, our last stop was at River Island and we ended up getting 2 bags (for me), and a poncho jacket (for her). Still, I'm not feeling guilty like I should.BECAUSE........
The bags were all on 50% sale! Woohoo!
How often do you find bags that you really like AND on 50% discount?
I bought 2!
First one's a clutch! For days withou classes. :)
And the second one, a little more roomy. The dumpling shape is gorgeous!
Also today, we celebrate Public Service Week!
We gave out lotsa badges like these... They were so colourful and pretty, people were asking for more!
Since there were some left after the ceremony, Joanne gave me 3 more. I gave one to Boyfriend. haha, so cute.
Check out the badge with white background. The heartshape is actually made up of 2 thumb print!
Okay, tomorrow is Saturday. Long weekend ahead.
Enjoy everyone!
Longchamp!

Happy! :)

Happy Mother's Day!
Sunday, May 11 1:25 AM
Movie of this week - What Happens in Vegas! This is an utterly hilarious chick flick, I love this movie. The cast of both Cameron and Ashton made me laugh, very hard. HahaGo catch it!
Dinner was at Ken's place. No, Ken is not our friend. We call it Ken's place because this authentic Japanese restaurant is really called Ken Japanese Noodles House.Their ramen is AMAZING. Boyfriend and I find the craving to go down at least once every month. This beats Ajisen anytime cos it's the true blue kinda Jap restaurant. And we pay lesser there for all the great tastes! It's somewhere near PS. If you guys do go out with me, I can bring you there. =) Headed back to PS for dessert at Gelare. Yummy. Banana split in Blueberry Cheesecake Yoghurt, Wild Strawberry and Chocolate Overload.Sinful? You bet. But these are our soul food. Bo Pian. HahaSome shots we snapped while indulging in the very sinful banana split basket! See how happy the dessert made us. (and fat too)Went to shop for Theodore's present cos his birthday is next Tuesday.
Dear managed to find the Michael Jackson's Anniversary Edition CD Theo wanted, so we got it promptly.
Funny thing was that Theo texted to ask if we got him the CD (almost immediatly after we paid for it). Spooky!
I guess that just reiterates the fact that they've been friends for the last past decade.
Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and I haven't gotten Mum anything! Yikes! I scouted whole of town and I don't find anything my mummy needs! Oh man, this is so bad. Shall ask her to choose something tomorrow, I'm seriously getting lousy at this present buying thing.
Thinking of getting a new laptop. 2k. Should I?
And why is that after Mariah Carey became Mrs Cannon, that I find her utterly utterly gorgeous? Is it just me or does everyone feels this way? (I suspect it's the former)
I always find married women especially beautiful, like instantly! (even though I used to think MC looked like a whale). If marriage does that sorta wonders, give me a ring now!
Right, enough of my blabbering. Since it's officially 2am, Happy Mother's Day to all!
Happy Birthday Jacq!
Friday, May 9 11:24 PM
Today is the first Friday in many many decades since I'm not cooped in class. Past 2 semesters were sucky cos I got Friday classes. So today after work, I headed down to Lavender to meet him and my dear Nissan March. Drove down to Suntec for dinner and some shopping.A little shoutout: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQ! My sister turns 20 today! Got her a pair of Papillios! Hope she likes 'em! :) Anyway, on my way down to Lavender, guess who I met at City Hall? Elias Ning! That guy! Hahaha, It doesn't feel that long since we last met, but he told me it's almost a year and a half. That long meh?? Scary huh? Still, he looks and is the same guy! It's strange to say but I miss him out of the lot of poly friends.
And the best thing he could say to me after not seeing me for so long is, "You inject cream into yourself?""What's that word starting with A that you call those white people?" Yes, he was referring to Albino. Sheesh, I have always been fair, right? And no, he corrects. "You're not fair, you're white."Whatever man, told you he's the same guy. HahahAnd later at Suntec, I met cousin Willy and his girlfriend. Turns out he saw me at Bugis yesterday too, but didn't call me. Small world.Anyways, I managed to get Jack's gift and we headed to buy tickets for movie tomorrow. Dinner followed shortly after. Left Suntec feeling very full and tired. It's been a long week (compared to last week). Nonetheless, I'm not complaining. Looking forward to tomorrow cos more shopping awaits and Sunday cos we're heading out for Mother's Day dinner cum celebration for Jack's birthday. And good news! I received my results for last semester! Very happy with them! Yayssssss!! :) Thankfully, else I would have gone to Richard if I didn't do okay for AHRP.Nights all! :)
Won a Tagger Bag!
Tuesday, May 6 9:45 PM
For being such an ardent fan of 987, I was finally rewarded today! Haha. Y'see, I usually plug into the Dan and Young show, with countless attempts at guessing the morning show contests. To date, I think I've only sent in a grand total of 3 times? All within 2 years, cos I don't ever think I'm a contest-lucky person, unlike Alvin.Surprise, surprise! I texted in this morning and got a call from them (when I was underground, dammit!)I was so afraid the line will be lost, thank god it didn't. :) I even heard myself played on air, since it wasn't live, it kinda gave me enough time till I came out of the underground. Trust me, it feels funny to hear your conversation on air. It just feels funny. HahaAnyway for that, I won myself a $150 tagger bag! Yays. Okai, truth be told. I know n.o.t.h.i.n.g of this bag, I didn't even know this brand existed. Apparently, they have a boutique at Vivo. (Why can't they give Kate Spade or Agnes B bags instead??)Well, Dan and Young mentioned their website, so i went to take a look. There it is, http://www.taggerbags.com/I'm not complaining though, maybe I am getting lucky! HehAfter work, I met up with Clara Bala and we towned and dinnered. Was fun since it's been a while that we last met up. Haha, we spent quite a bit at Cotton On Body. She bought a duffel bag and a shirt. I bought bras, undies and a bedroom slipper in pink! :)Got a dress too from Hula!I really like the blue la, Clara insisted purple looks better. (Just curious, has anyone seen me in purple?) We suddenly realised that town is losing its magic. Last time, we could shop till we hear the closing announcement, but now we're heading back to the control station at 8pm. What's going on?Orchard has officially lost its magic. (God forbid this happens)Anyway, classes resume tomorrow and I know my textbooks' gonna cost a bomb, just saw the book list. One of them costs $110. Nights everyone and I wanna see my tagger bag soon! I'll show pictures if it's lovely!
GMR
Saturday, May 3 10:10 PM
It's Saturday night at 10pm and I'm at home! Like, once in a long long while. Not just tired but dead shagged. It was sleepover last night with card games, junk food and not a lot of rest, to say the least. Hahaha. 3 nights in this week, telling me I'm sleep deprived is quite an understatement. Nonetheless, we had tonnes of fun! Next one soon ok? I'm counting down! :)Hence, the decision to retreat earlier today and waking up to a whole morning of TVB drama tomorrow. Yippee. My favourite Brink of Law aired its finale last night when I had no access to Ch 55, how sick is that?Thank god Starhub Cable has this Sunday repeat-all function. It is so practical for people like me cos I can watch the entire week's drama in a 4 hour slot. On to more academic stuff, semester reopens on Monday. My classes fall on Wednesdays and Thursdays this semester. Final dash to go. Meeting Clara on Tuesday, like finally! Even my mum was asking: "You seem to not have met Clara for a while already right?" That was funny. Anyways, after we checked out this afternoon, we headed down to Changi Airport for lunch and our regular earthquake at Swensen's. As usual, his strawberry and stickychewychocolate was wedged between my yam (he hates yam), making it the yamberry he calls it. Hahaha. Headed back to Tampines Mall where we caught Nim's Island. The movie sucks. Period. We were deciding between this and Eva Longoria's Over Her Dead Body but the timing was better for Nim's, so we went ahead. Big mistake. I was praying for it to end. Think we would have had better luck with Eva. What Happens in Vegas opens next week, and I can't wait! If I had something to look forward to every week, this rom-com would be it for the coming week! :)On a final note, 2008 seems to be a really good year for weddings. Boyfriend himself has at least 4 weddings this year. Cousin Jasmine is also holding hers in September. Further away, we have Beyonce and Jay'Z. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon is the latest testament to this fact. There is definitely more, but offhand I can't recall. By the way, while we're on this note. We turn 20th too! Love ya!Alrighty now, really need my bed and bolster and the next 15 hours to snooze. If you guys may excuse me, I'd like to zZzzzzZzzzZzzZ.......
