Went for steamboat dinner with my folks near my old house yesterday. The steamboat owner shifted, so we followed him. Hahaha
The dinner was indeed quite good, I loved the soup. =)
After dinn, Dad proceeded to Airport while the 4 of us decided to catch 'The Coffin'. We made the mistake of not booking online, hence was subjected to the neck-breaking front 4th row.
Nonetheless, because we caught it at Century, it wasn't half as bad as GV - Tampines. GV only had first 2 rows available and the seats were steeper. I'd probably wake up with a stiff neck this morning. Haha
The movie started at 11.25pm so we had tonnes of time to burn. Headed to Coffee Bean for our cuppa.
Jacq and Al

We finally caught High School Musical today! Or rather yesterday since it's now 1.40am. It took me quite a bit of persuading before Robin agreed to catch it with me. Hahah
For 2 basic reasons - he's not into Disney, neither is he into Zac Efron. Hahah
Nonetheless, being a great sport and boyfriend which he always is, we made it for the movie eventually after dinner at Bratwurst House.
The movie was great, maybe it's just me. I like Disney movies so there may be a slight personal bias. =)
One gripe though, I think the songs can be slightly better. They weren't as catchy as the previous HSM 1 and 2. That being said, you know I won't be rushing to get the OST.
Still, the energy from the cast were still very contagious, I was tapping on my feet and I seriously wanted to dance. Hahaha
Part of this silliness is contributed from the current TVB drama series on Ch 55 because it is also on dancing and that I caught the entire 4 hours of it this morning. The dance fever is very contagious!
Also, if they added subtitles (or lyrics) to the HSM 3 movie, it would have been even better cos we'll be able to sing along (or silently). Hahah
All in all, I think the movie deserves 3.5 popcorns. Kenny Ortega did a fab job with the cast and choreography.

Oh yah, you guys heard about the great Levi's jeans exchange right? For any jeans that you trade-in, you get a $50 rebate on a new pair.
Dear got a new pair this afternoon which I thought was a really great deal. As much as I am extremely tempted (Levi's Ladies!), I am determined not to splurge for the rest of this month.
You guys should still check it out, the promotion is quite a steal. The Levis boutique was packed with people.
On a shopping spree, he also decided to get a new phone, probably inspired by my Samsung Tocco! He bought the Nokia N6210 Navigator. I helped him decide among 2 other phones - N6600 and N78 together with the N6210 Nav.
The N6600 does not have all the functions he wanted although he liked the design while the N78 is downright ugly. Thankfully he had the same sentiments and decided to go for the navigator instead.
It's also good cos the GPS network covers both Singapore and Malaysia. With the frequency we're always going to KL, it's extremely useful to own a GPS for M'sia so that we don't lose our way amid all those malls! =)
Alrighty, that's all for now. Only back from holiday not too long and I am already anticipating the next trip to Bangkok in Dec!
For now, I just want my bed and bolster. =) Nights.
I'm back!
And I got with me, some pictures of the trip! Trust me, it was so fun, I almost didn't feel like coming back. (But I had too, cos I ran out of ringgit!) =P
Flight was at 11am on Monday morning. Dear came to pick me to his house and from there, we taxi-ed to T1.
Checked-in and decided to head for breakfast. Realised there is no Mac at T1 so we agreed to go to T2 despite having only 45 mins.
After the skytrain took forever to reach (3 mins feels like forever when you only have 45 mins for breakfast and to get back), we decided to settle for BK Breakfast.
Equally good! Took the enormous omelette sandwich. We both did, yummmm!
After we finished, we went in and headed to gate D35 or was it F35?
All was smooth, soon enough, we boarded and were high up in the air! =)
Some shots I snapped when we were high up in mid air.
The flight was really quick. Approximately only 45 minutes or so.
Boyfriend always has a problem with landing so the pack of Ribena pastilles are his 'descend sweets'. Hahha
Clouds, clouds and more clouds.
Snack Attack - Menu for Snacks.
Before we knew it, we were already landing. Thumbs Up!
Landing in KL's LCCT
Other Airasia jets by the berth
This is our plane! The RBS sponsored Airasia jet.
Looks slightly bigger than the other jets.
After we cleared immigrations, we boarded the Skybus to bring us to KL Sentral (Central).
That's where the main monorial station is, to bring us to our Bukit Bintang station, where is nearest to our hotel.
3rd time there within a year, I am actually quite familiar with the place now.
Finally reached our hotel - Radius International, KL.
Tried to take a photo of the hotel name on the sliding glass but failed miserably.
After we dropped our stuff, we headed out. First stop - Sogo.
Right after we are done with Sogo, it started pouring cats and dogs. We were stuck so we decided to wait (in eternity) for a cab at the taxi stand.
Took about 30 mins to get to our turn and seeing how desperate we were for a cab, the driver took the opportunity to rip us.
He refused to go by metre and asked for RM 20 ringgit. WTH!
We had no choice ... so we gave in. Haha
Went back to Sungei Wang Plaza. Saw Skin Food, got excited and bought lots of stuff from there! Skin Food over there is so cheap!
This is what I got on my first trip to Skin Food. I made 2 trips eventually, bought quite a lot of stuff! Things going for SGD 60 is only selling for RM 74! CHEAP!
Every RM 150 spent entitles you to a umbrella and free gifts. After my two trips, I spent RM 300 and got 2 brollies (which was very useful during our holiday!) as well as a free lip liner!
In total, I bought from SF:
- BB Cream (Aloe)
- Coffee Body Scrub
- Vegetable Cleansing Wipes
- Herb Salad and Cucumber Pack Masks x 2
- Buckwheat Loose Powder
- Pomegranate Sleeping Mask
-Lettuce and Cucumber Matte Gel
- Lotsa samples which they gave
The pretty brolly in pink and baby blue is a huge plus! I would pay for a brolly this cute, anyday!
Dinner was at The Ship theme restaurant. Headed back to hotel after dinner. Damn tired.
Tried to snap the KL skyline.
Us all tired and fooling around with the camera!
Day 2 was off to Mid Valley Mega Mall after breakfast. MVMM was far, all the way at KL Sentral (where the Skybus alighted us on the first day).
Travelled there via monorail.
Shop, shop, shop. Lunch was at The Chicken Rice Shop. Nice! Saw Paddington's House of Pancakes too.
Robin with Captain Quak from Sunway Lagoon
And me too! Quak!
Left MVMM after we done all our shopping and headed off to Pavilion!
Bought ourselvs tickets to The Butterfly Lover at Pavilion's Cinema for a grand total of RM 18 for 2 persons.
One person for only RM 9, that's only like $3.50!?
Hot day so headed straight for some Baskin Robbins! Wheeee!
I wonder how come Baskin Robbins never made it to Sg.
US!
US again!
Went for the movie after. It was a very funny and cute flick (omg, Wu Chun is soooo handsome!) , and I kinda enjoyed that it was in cantonese.
This is Low Yat Plaza, something like our Funan IT Mall, specialising in IT stuff.
Dinner was at Planet Hollywood.
He likes his Club Sandwich, I love my Broccoli and Chicken Penne!
Third day - we headed off to Suria KLCC and City Square at Ampang Park.
Poor thing, my boyfriend is uber shagged but he still never complains! I heart him so!
The monorail which we are all too familiar with, by the third day.
Next stop - Imbi Station. Went Berjaya Times Square. Oh yah! Etude House is opening soon at Times Square! I saw the shop front under renovation.
Sat down for a drink at someplace called Station Kopitiam
Taken while waiting for the drinks to arrive
Headed back to Sungei Wang after Berjaya Times Square to get our hair washed. Shiok for him but I was squirming in pain. Hahaha. But the after effects were really quite good.
Also took some neoprints at Times Square!
On the 4th and last day, we made a final trip to Berjaya Times Square (that mall has 10 floors!) before calling it a day to our KL holiday.
Finally reached Sg around 7 pm plus last evening. It was truly enjoyable and I could not have wished for a better company throughout these 4 days. =)
My total damage this trip:
- All of those at Skin Food
-Adidas top
- Nichii Tops x 2
- MNA top
- PDI cardis x 2
- Vincci pumps
- Cardis for Mum and Jacq
- Renoma Polo Tees for Dad and Al
Love ya! =)
All packed (finally) and ready to jet!
Catch ya all in a week's time!
=)
