Photos from Geraldine's Wedding
Sunday, May 31 10:07 PM
Attended the Pentacost Sunday Mass this evening and boy was the Church crowded. Headed to T1 for dinner after Mass - had Popeye's! I love the mash!
Some overdue photos from Geraldine's wedding 2 weeks ago, one taken at Church of St Anne's and the other is the banquet at Furama. That explains the huge contrast in my dress and makeup. Haha

B.O.B
1:19 AM
Caught Monsters vs Aliens today (or yesterday since it's already 1.20am). It was quite cute especially B.O.B (below) when he tries to attract a jello thinking it's one of its kind. Haha
Catch it if you're a animation fan, otherwise you are probably better off at Terminator - something I'm definitely skipping. I'm looking forward to Hannah Montana though. Don't start to judge me okay? Haha, we all are Disney channel fans at heart and you all know it.
Was at town and the GSS was huge. I see baskets of sale wares everywhere at Taka from Ralph Lauren to Kate Spade and Coach. People were queuing to get into Coach! Very tempting but I shall hold back. We also made a trip to Tiffany's and got me lusting over this charm now (but there is no sale going on!!). In any case, I should be going back to get it very soon. =) =)
Heard from Dear that Kelvin and wife are expecting their first child in December! Wow! Congrats to both, feel happy for them! =) It feels like it was not long ago when Kelvin was going after Sheela and then they got married and now they have already been married for a year and their first child in half a year's time. W.o.w.
In this instant, I feel old already, like I have just witnessed a part of history. Haha. This reminds me that I spent the afternoon googling on characters from Night at the Museum 2.
Famous people like Amelia Earhart (I was wondering if she died from an air crash - I was right, in fact, she disappeared and was declared dead 2 years later. Up till now, her disappearance remains a mystery), Ivan the Terrible, Attila the Hun (he is some descendent from the Xiong Nu), Napoleon Bonaparte.
Also googled on Bermuda Triangle. Not that it was featured in the movie but I saw a documentary on it in HK and got me wondering some things.
Shall sleep in tomorrow since it's the last day of the weekend.
That's all for tonight. Ciao!
I am back from HK!
Friday, May 29 10:40 PM
And I am BACK! (a la Kamunrah in Night at the Museum 2)
Haha, anyway that movie is hilarious so everyone must go and watch - regardless whether you caught Part 1 or not.
So yes, I am finally back from Hong Kong. It was a holiday well spent. I had a great time with Robin and it was one of our most fruitful overseas trip to date.
Both of us managed to get Espirit clothes at GREAT prices as well as Coach wristlet for me and a Coach cardholder for him. Haha, welcome dear to the Coach bandwagon! =) What else? Oh, lots of H&M goodies - Gloss, body lotion, hair ties! And a Lacoste (another wristlet) for me!
The location of the hotel (Park Hotel) was fantastic! The wet weather (it rained the whole time) didn't affect us much. There was a shelter right outside of the hotel that brings us allllllllllll the way to the MTR station and then to the other shopping malls. Damn cool. I'm staying there again next time.
I've uploaded some of my favourite photos from the trip, the rest can be viewed on facebook. Link is attached at the end of the entry (hehe, trying to make all of you to at least see the few photos I uploaded here on blogger)

Okay, here you go!

It's already weekend tomorrow. Next week's a hec. Got course on Wednesday and Exchange on Friday. Exchange's at Bukit Batok.
I've never been to Bukit Batok all my life - really.
Ciao!
Next trip's in July. Till then! =)
Anyway, anyone else managed to successfully get balloted for The Peak @TPY? Congrats! Anyway, I am moving in approximately 3 weeks - can't wait!
Packing for HK!
Saturday, May 23 12:23 AM
I just finished packing. Okay, maybe not finished but at least I started. I'm so tired now. Will continue with it tomorrow.
Langham Place, Central, Tsim Tsha Tsui, Mongkok, Kowloon - here I come, again.
Good night!
RCIA #3
Tuesday, May 19 10:45 PM
Attended RCIA this evening, it was quite fun! =)We broke out into groups in the last segment so I got to know a couple more people within the group. One of the couples in our group is also attending the church's wedding prep course - must find a chance to engage them soon. Haha! Oh, we also have one member who hails from South Africa. He's very nice and smiley. The diversity in this group is amazing! You can see the young, the old, the different races and nationalities, the chatty, the reserved, the couples, the singles, the married, the parents, the working, the kids, the BFFs...During the breakout sessions, Stephanie also gave us an idea of what's to come after the Rite of Acceptance - the retreats, the gatherings, the activities. In a way, I'm looking forward to them, especially so cos Robin's with me in this journey. =)Okay, I seriously hope you guys don't get bored (or irritated) by my ravings about the weekly RCIAs.Tomorrow's already mid-week. Yayness. Go celebrate something. On a more serious note, H1N1's spreading like wildfire in Japan, what gives? I recall mentioning in one entry that Japan has very high standards of health and sanitation, so they are the last country I would expect to be hit but I guess with virus like this, you can never say 'never'. I just did a list of 'places to visit in HK' for dear's planning. Some places which we missed out the last time apparently has some pretty good deals in store. Sylvia who recently came back from HK confirmed it too. Haha! And, there's H&M too! Okay, I better sleep early. Ciao all!

Wedding: Geraldine and Jeremy
Sunday, May 17 2:03 AM
Goodness, it's now 2.03 am in the morning and I am not even close to lala land. I'm still waiting for my hair to dry, so that's gonna give me some time to blog, although I'm pretty drained by now. I can hardly think so please excuse me if my thoughts don't link. To be honest, I'm just finding an excuse to type so I don't fall asleep drying my hair in front of the fan. Anyway, it's Geraldine and Jeremy's wedding today! Congrats, you both! Geraldine's my fiancé's cousin. Haha, funny to refer to Robin as my fiance but I guess I have to get used to it. Attended the wedding mass at Church of St Anne's this morning, hence woke up very early. About 8am? Reached there around 10.45am, the mass started at 11am. Aunt Julie took a couple of photos for us with the bride and then we were headed in to meet the relatives. Was on the receiving end of many 'So when's the big day for you both?' questions, directed at us, haha, something we definitely saw coming.Mass soon started at 11am. Fr Kenny was the celebrant in today's mass. He was very funny and got us all laughing, could also be to help the newly weds from becoming too nervous. Haha. Lunch reception followed. Grabbed some light food and chatted over lunch with Angela, Kevin and Kenneth. Left around 1.30pm for our movie at Tampines. We went to catch Angels and Demons! I liked the movie! I think this is a pretty good adaptation of the book, although there were many parts which they did not go into details (unlike the book). Hence, if you have read the book, you would probably realised that it gives you a greater escalated sense of mystery. For the movie however, it is very in-your-face, which is reasonable given what they have packed into the 2-hour movie. Other than that, I would say it's quite good. Movie ended at 5pm. Rushed home to bathe and headed off to get my hair done. Was extremely late cos my original appointment was 5pm. Haha. In the end, managed to only reach at 6pm. Good thing they didn't scream cos I made them OT. (They close at 7pm on Sats, I was there till close to 7.30pm)Was finally ready by 7.30pm. Drove back home to collect my bag and a change of my flats into the stilettos. Made our way down to Furama Riverfront.Thankfully, we weren't the last to arrive. Cocktail was still being served when we got there. The banquet started close to 9pm. Was seated with Dear, Sylvia, Kevin, Angela and Kenneth and some other relatives. The video montage which was screened was downright hilarious! I was laughing the whole time. Was once again the recipient of more 'So your turn coming soon?' questions. Food starting to come, course by course. The bride and groom too, came and went in 2 different outfits and some entertainment with they came up by making Geraldine and Jeremy play some couple rapport games. The whole dinner was lots of fun. Photos, however, were taken from Aunt Julie's cam, so I'll post them when I receive them. Dinner ended around 11pm. Drove to Kallang Mac with Dear and his parents for coffee. Had a good chat with them on our plans ahead. I think Dear got very inspired by the wedding. Hahah. We shall be meeting up with my folks sometime within the next 2 weeks for the same purpose. =) Anyway for now, our plan looks good but I shan't reveal too much yet. Will let you guys in on more when things are more firmed up.On the other hand, it's about a month till we move to our new place. Excited! And, and, and... Hong Kong holiday in 5 working days. Wheeee. Sylv's was just telling me to go to Citygate. During her recent trip there, she managed to get Kate Spade at 50%. Sweet! I like! =)I am also planning to raid H&M, so Langham Place is on our itinerary too. Yayness.Okay, I'm really going to doze off on my laptop soon, so I better go. Nights all. By the way, there's also this streak of mascara and eyeliner on my eye that refuses to go off. Shucks, now I look like a panda. In any case, I love, love my fiancé and I look forward to building a home with ya! =)XoXoNanaLabels: Weddings

Lots of coincidences at the airport today....Okay, here it goes. We made a trip down to T3 after work cos Dear had to pass some stuff to his colleagues there. His parents are also coming back today from Japan this evening but there were no plans to pick them cos his sis has made arrangements to pick them. After we got to T3, he went in while I grabbed a drink at the nearby convenience store. He came out in 15 mins, so we headed for dinner at T3 foodcourt. As I was approaching the ban mian stall, I heard someone call my name. I turned around, but knowing me, bad with directions, I was looking everywhere except where the sound came from. Hahaha. In the end, I realised it's Daddy! He was having dinner! So we proceeded to buy our food to join him for dinner. While I was ordering my ban mian and dear ordering his thosai, his phone rang and this time, he was looking around. Instinctively, I thought his folks were also having dinner at the foodcourt so I looked around and then, I saw someone tann and tall waving. It's Yap. Hahah, his colleague/friend from work. We were even in KL together last month. HahaAfter the waving, we headed back to dinner with Dad. Chatted and chatted. Left after dinner to go MiniBits, Helen and Candy Empire. Bought a bag of biscuits and a pack of Ritter Sport from CE. =)Headed back to carpark to go home. As the lift came and we went in, I thought I saw someone familiar. Many of you all won't know this, but Jane may vaguely recall. Jane! I saw 'Morgan'! HahahaHe's my poly days' crush. We even took psychology and human health science modules together! Haha! But he was with a girl, so boo to that. HahaIt doesn't end here. After we drove out of the airport, I spotted a car with the same number plate as his folks. This is funny cos we spotted a car with the same number as his old car (March) when we came so it was like, OH! Look, same number as your dad! And then, I realised it IS his folks and that is their car! Haha! Dear tried to catch up but our Latio can't outrun a Sylphy. Hehe, he even honked but for some reason, that only made uncle drive even faster. Hahah. In the end, we didn't get to meet side-by-side on the road but he called his mum to tell him that he's the one who honked.Funny right! That's like 4 coincidences in a span of say, 2 hours plus?? HahaBought a cardidan and undies from Espirit during lunch with Analyn. Speaking of which, I met Theodore on the way to lunch. Now, that's 5 coincidences in a day! Lots of sale going on so I have decided to continue my shopping tomorrow after work. If I am lucky, I may even find something for this weekend's wedding. I have a church wedding and a banquet to attend so knowing me, I'm wrecking my brains to think of something to wear. Actually, weddings are the easiest to dress for. Classy is very general and I have like, 4 dresses which I can think of wearing, I just don't know which one. For the morning session at the church, I also need to think. Saw something nice at River Island today during lunch but they ran out of my size. Sigh.Shall shop tomorrow to find something! =) I caught Star Trek last weekend. I know! I didn't expect myself to watch either. I'm like the last person who will ever pay to watch Star Trek but you know what, it seriously wasn't that bad. It was in fact quite good. I have always thought of Star Trek as some serious as hell comic, boring stellar movements with cosmic adventures. Gosh, but this movie - I don't know if it's the intentional script or the cast (Chris Pine and that young russian boy and John Cho) that makes the whole movie very enjoyable. A lot of comic relief here and there, so it's nothing dead serious like I thought. Nice. 2nd RCIA yesterday. Went on a tour of the church which I am already pretty familiar cos of the regular Sunday masses, but yesterday we even went to the columbarium at the basement. This is prob one place I haven't been to. Oh yes, Jacq's birthday and Mother's Day. There are photos for these, so I'll post in a separate entry. Okay, that's about all the random updates I have. Oh, one more. I think Michelle Chia's gowns are gorgeous. I also want! HaHa. They live-telecasted the banquet, I caught bits and pieces but I saw the dessert buffet and I was like, 'WOW....'Okay, that's all folks! I'm counting down to Hong Kong!Ta!
Interim Update
6:46 AM
Lots of updates but I don't have enough hours in a day. Bah.
I've got photos (which some of you may have already seen on facebook) to post too.
Maybe today or tomorrow evening. In the meantime, the excitement is building up for Hong Kong 2009! 10 more days!

RCIA
Tuesday, May 5 10:41 PM
Attended RCIA today. It started from 7.45pm so dear and I made our way for a quick dinner at Old Airport Road before driving down to church. I was asking him as we cruise the ECP, 'Do you think we'll be the only ones?' When we reached the church, the carpark was almost full but not like Sunday-full kinda full. We managed to find a lot. Wow. I think we're not gonna be alone with the parish priest afterall. =)Everyone was gathered in the main hall. I didn't count but there was a good 70 - 80 people present. Today's session, according to Fr Albert Ng, will not take as long as the normal sessions which could span to 10pm or even midnight. Midnight?? I think I better start to telecommute every Weds from now. Hahaha.Anyway, we managed to end today's session about 9.30pm, not too long after the refreshments. Thoughts after the session? Hmm, there were lots of young people there, like me. I could easily spot a few couples, probably also those who are getting married soon. Going for RCIA and wedding prep course conducted by the church. =) I foresee lots of bonding and sharing with this group in the coming year. There were also old folks around. They were not your usual old folks but cute grannies and grandpas who were very enthusiastic. I think I like that. =)Till next week's session!Dear's folks are flying to Japan tomorrow, so you'll prolly catch me at the airport. Was invited to SHRI's HR Day tomorrow at The Verge but decided to give it a miss. There's meeting through the afternoon, so perhaps I'll go for it next year. There's also PSWOC on Thursday, those in the circle would know. There's quite a bit of hype on that. Okay, time to go get some rest. Been a long day. XoXoGina
Random Sunday
Sunday, May 3 9:23 PM
Everyone must catch the movie 'Sell Out'! We caught it yesterday and the whole cinema was laughing out loud. It's a comedy/musical and it's omfg-ly hilarious! I laughed so hard in so many scenes till I was practically catching my breath and cleaning my tears at the same time. Watch and let me know if you enjoy it just as much! =)Caught the re-run of Star Awards today since I missed it when I was overseas last Sunday. There were probably more things I didn't like about the annual show than things that I actually like. I guess everyone's entitled to their 2 cents worth. Here's mine:- What's up with the buzzer? Don't they know it's rude to interrupt? Especially when this is the time when actors and actresses take stock of what they have achieved in the past 12 months and they are buzzed away. Don't get me started on how it made Vivian Lai run to get her award, albeit heavily preggers.- How can there be an 'unprecedented' 2nd Best Supporting Actress award? Why not for Best Supporting Actor (you didn't think Robert Zhang did a good job in Little Nonya) ? Why not for Best Newcomer? If people didn't know better, it'll seem fishy. - I was also not wow-ed by the clothes this year. Some were in fact, quite ugly. Take Felicia Chin for example.8 days thought Zoe Tay looked hot in her number, I beg to differ. On the contrary, I thought Jeanette Aw and Jesseca Liu looked good, but 8 days didn't seem to think likewise. Oh well. - Parrot show? Helicopter delivery of results? Hmmm.. - What's up with Xiang Yun's shoes? Too big? Too high? Something definitely looks wrong whenever she walks up the stage. - Personally, I think the best thank you speech goes to Pornsak. Not because I think he is cute and talented and articulate and witty, but just because he looked genuinely surprised and happy to be called. Okay, before I start to sound like Simon Cowell, I'd better stop. Packing took most of my day today. I have now 4 boxes of clothes and my wardrobe is about half full. Don't dare to pack all of it in since we still have a bout a month here, plus my impending HK trip. If I pack everything in, I may just end up ripping up the duct tapes on the boxes again. After clothes, I have books (partly packed), bags (may need at least 2 boxes), perfume and toiletries. I think it should be okay, I've packed worst. HahaI hope the Influenza A H1N1 virus (since it's no longer referred to as Swine Flu) blows over soon. Dear and I went Airport for dinner just now and passed by Watson's. We asked for the masks (for our impending HK trip and his parents' impending Japan trip), only to be told that the 3 ply ones have already been sold out. So fast! All that's left are the ones with only 1 ply. Wow. Not that we're kiasu and it's unlikely that we're wear it in Singapore unless MOH gives the order but we believe in HK, which was the forefront of the Sars war, you'll be sticking out like a sorethumb for not wearing a mask in the heat of this H1N1 virus. And in Japan where standards of health and sanitation are extremely high, people there wear masks even though they have a normal cold. 3 weeks more to HK, 1 month more to new house. Speaking of which, we're gonna choose the tiles for our new house this coming Sat! =)Also this weekend, we have Mother's Day, which is on Sunday, Jacq also turns a year older this Saturday (which concurrently happpens to be Vesak Day). I suppose we could do a dinner to celebrate both. Dear will then probably join us and his Dad-in-Law/Mum-in-Law (designate) as he calls them. Haha!Is anyone else following the Aware saga or am I the only one? Did anyone else beside me cheer when they read the headlines on today's Straits Times? Haha.Don't get me wrong, I'm just a neutral bystander but the Exco led by JL seems to be less likeable than the Old Guard in more ways than one (although they claim to be doing more).Oh wells. Glad that this issue will now stop taking (that much) of headline space on The Straits Times, although I don't think it will end just like that. HahaOkay, I'm running out of stuff to blog and I am getting sleepy. Early morning meeting tomorrow. Oh yah, Dear's phone is down (faulty buttons), we are heading to the Nokia care centre tomorrow afterwork. Yikes, the queue never fails to scare me. We went to the Apple store at Cine yesterday and I was playing with the iPod Nanos and iPhone and I have an urge to buy them! How? They're so pretty! Okay, I'm gonna have an early night like I promised myself. Nights all. Love ya!

KL Trip (26 - 28 April 09)
12:28 PM
Finally got some time to blog about the recent KL trip! =) It's gonna be long, don't say I didn't warn you. Our flight last Sunday was at 9.10am. Sylvia was also flying off the same morning to Taipei, so Uncle drove to my house to pick me together with dear and Sylvia.Reached airport, checked-in. Before we knew it, we already landed in KLIA (KL International Airport). =) Headed to our hotel to check-in, rested a bit and went to Sungei Wang to meet Yap and Clara for lunch. Yap is Dear's colleague at work who also happened to be in KL, so we arranged to have lunch together before they returned that afternoon. Went to KimGary, forgot to take photos together. Afterwhich, we wasted no time and headed straight to Midvalley Mega Mall since it was a little far. Managed to do quite a bit of shopping there. 2 dresses! =)Dinner the first night was at TGIF at Pavilion.
We ordered mushroom soup....

Fried Mac & Cheese....

Chicken and shrimp pasta.. Dear ordered Sirloin...

My boyfriend who is lost in the F1 race showing on TV.

After dinner, we went to catch 'Friday the 13th' at Pavilion. It was very gruesome and provided some good scares. HahaYou all may have known by now that he proposed that night. =) Some pictures but I shan't bore you with the details of the proposal.. hee

For those who are familiar with solitaires, this is the perfect cut in Hearts and Arrows. With the loupe, you can actually see hearts and arrows inside the diamond!

Random pictures.. Only S$2.40 for McValue Lunch!

They brought in Krispy Kreme!
On the second day, we went to KLCC. A&W for lunch and caught 'Make it Happen' at the KLCC cinemas. Shopped the entire day, harvest was good. Got myself like 2 shoes, a couple more tops. Also went to make my Tag Heuer spectacles and dear got his Tag Heuer F1 watch.
Third day, we shopped at Sungei Wang. Headed for tea at KimGary.

Lunch was at Pavilion and some last minute shopping as we were flying back at 9pm at night.
Taking a milkshake at Baskin' Robbins.

My eyebags are terrible. Intend to repay the sleep debt over the long weekend.
Checking out from Royale Bintang hotel.
Taking the KLIA Express to KLIA.
The train's super comfy and fast!
Arriving at KLIA
Some neoprints we took during the trip....
And that sums up our April holiday. Will be heading to Hong Kong in a month's time if the swine flu does not escalate further. The whole world is in a total frenzy.
Take care everyone!
